I've always been a fan. His technique and touch enables him to rarely lose the ball. He's a different option to the front 3. I hope he can stay fit for sub appearances like today

That's one thing that stands out when you watch him. He can receive the ball in positions that most players are not willing to because of his touch, strength and intelligence. It was noticeable that the player were pinging it at him when he came on.

I'm so glad that we kept him and he definitely needs to play more.

Shaq gives a different approach when he plays. I really hope the league reverts to 5 subs. Shaq should get more chances. But really pleased with his contributions this week.

I thought he did well 2nd half mid-week too.

Fact he’s now been able to complete 90 mins, and is first sub on is really good news. He’s something different for sure, glad he is still here. in what is already and will become even more of an intense season, he’ll be very much needed, as shown this week!

After his midweek exploits, disappointed to see Jones started ahead of him. I was begging for him to come on and when he did, his moment of magic gave us the 3 points

I really like him in that inside left position, much more than inside right. He seems more comfortable there and isnt as easy to crowd out. Great pass for the goal.

If we’re playing 4-2-3-1, he’s a superb option in the middle of the 3. He’s never quite had the pace to play as a winger for us, but with three forwards ahead of him and two combative midfielders behind, he can make things happen.

Also, as teams increasingly look to frustrate us by limiting the space for our full backs to operate, it’s all the more important to have someone creative in the middle of the park. He’s not going to start many games because of our strength in depth but IMO he should be on the bench every week.

Really telling contribution and he seems to have a good link up with Jota. I think after his recent performances, he and Jota should earn a starting spot pretty soon.

Yes he’s excellent at playing the unexpected pass and is a great asset when we need a goal. I’d start others first and let them tire out the opposition; bring Shaqiri on when we are dominating but can’t find a goal
