I waited to post about Suarez until things came into focus a little more. Simply, I'm disappointed with the whole affair. The OP mentioned over-saturation, and that's exactly how I feel. So much so, that my opinion on the matter doesn't really bubble deep within. It's just there, sadly coming to the surface once again because of an act of insanity on the pitch from Luis. It lay dormant for over 12 months, but now it's back.
But despite my personal feelings, from the club's standpoint, there is no reason to react rashly in any way. And this is certainly not the time either. Let FIFA make its decision and then the hierarchy can assess how the situation impacts the Liverpool FC.
And despite my disappointment in Luis, I truly believe Liverpool is the place for him. And the club and its fans have made that massively obvious. After a turbulent 18 months of (biting, Evra, wanting to leave), we put our arm around him, helped him, rehabbed him, strengthened him, built a club around him. If we must, we can do it again. And I don't think that's ruining the brand. On the contrary, I think that enhances our brand and shows how we support one another, through thick and thin, like a family. That we recognize our flaws, and collectively deal with them. That together, we can overcome. That's Liverpool FC for me. And what player, or fan in the world wouldn't want to be a part of something like that?
