Cats are really affectionate. Djimi loves Lucas he always turns up at bath time and will sit by Lucas' side until it is time to get to bed.
If he gets angry with Lucas prodding at him, he will take it out on us, but never Lucas. The one time he did (reaction while being in pain) there was a look of sorrow in his eyes.

Scratching or biting? I love it when my cat grabs hold of my forearm and bites my hand. Its like she has no idea how little it hurts.

It's amazing how animals know that they are just kids and treat them accordingly. I have my 18 month old nephew right now. And my two cats love to play rough with all the adults and I. But when the little one is about the are so gentle with him. He can grab them and pull them and they just lay there. And if it hurts them they just get up and move away. Like OK your young and you don't know that I can slash you hands off.

They are kittens though, heck even a baby platypus can be cute.

Perhaps I am a little scarred from childhood memories of cats, there was a proper weird old lady who used to live near my mams house when I was young, she had about ten of them. If we were having a kick about on the street and the ball ended up in her garden, no one wanted to go and get it. It was an over grown garden with these little purring fuckers everywhere, just starring at you.

I don't like either.

Generally don't like pets, I like animals in the wild (on television, though I would do a Safari if the opportunity arose!) or in a zoo.

To put it in to very simple terms, all those Dog owners who say their Dog will not attack anybody, I'm sorry but I dont believe you, and I don't trust your stinking mutt either.
You cant bloody talk with your dog, I mean your dog might just be getting completely sick and tired of the food and flavour you are feeding him, and he/she just says to themselves.....

'Right for fucks sake, thats it, I have had enough of this shit, same fecking dinner everyday, what dont they think I want variety..Ok well we'll see.....If they feed me that shit one more time, someone is gonna get it, probably that little one in the corner over there that seems to have taken all the attention off me, actually when I think about it, the lack of variance in my food coincides with when that little fucker arrived!'

I dont like or trust dogs, because I believe they 'think' like us (in their own right however) and have 'feelings' too, but you cant REALLY cater to them.

As for Cats, is it me or do they actually think they are better than us?

We have a dog and a cat and I love them both. But the dog definitely gives us more affection where as the cat only wants to know us if he's hungry or tired.

Same.I like dogs but find the idea of having to clear up their shit vile so I figure if I dont want to do it I shouldnt have one.Had a few cats over the years they're more loyal than they are given credit for and there's something very calming about sittng there stroking a cat on your lap (Carry on jokes aplenty in that comment) current cat is my partners from before I met her.19 years old and a real old lady cat you can almost see her groaning when she gets up or stretches,not in pain just old bones.

Before my dog got rabies, he would run around in circles in the yard to the point that he actually made a trench half a meter deep. Is that normal?

I always wondered if maybe that was actually a symptom of rabies or something else.
