if they do there will be a shitstorm if it’s not done on attendance in the previous couple of years, more likely would be to not allow any new applications or just limit them a la waiting list
Season tickets are impossible, why would the club make memberships a closed shop too? Would be a horrible decision

Does anyone think the club will ever cap memberships?

There are people out there that buy memberships purely to have it with no intention/ability to go to any games.

It’s an easy revenue stream for the club. Can’t make it entirely a closed shop.

The next stage will probably be a system like Arsenal with different membership tiers

Get Roy back. Didn’t struggle at all then.

United away even went to all members in the FA Cup.

I think that’s how some of the lads I know got on the ladder to be honest. I’m sure they said it was about then.

I was savvy enough to get on the homes but not the away leagues.

Cup aways under Dalglish though. Got on then and never looked back.

Anyone got any idea on what the sales criteria is going to be on the community shield tickets? We will most likely get nearly 30,000 but will it be on league games this season? I can’t see it being FA cup surely? I been to 4 homes just curious if that gona be enough for a ticket?

I’m sure it won’t be all members straight off I imagine staggered like the league games maybe 13+ then 4+ hopefully.

I’m really not sure what they’ll do, only they have the numbers of how many attended what. I honestly think they should do who was in the ACS cause that would lead to a Wembley ballot.

This!! All those committed to go into the FA Cup ACS should go into a ballot

I’d miss out but that’s fair

Maybe but not really fair on those with league credits, I know me with 8 credits and last 2 years cups will be in some sort of ballot, just depends how popular it is

It'll probably be all season tickets first followed by first come first served for all members. That's how they've done it in the past.

Given we've got there through the league position, it should be tiered based on league attendance.

Really not fair for members this but wouldn’t surprise me, like I said ACS from last year should be in a ballot, if that doesn’t fill allocation then all members

Why should ACS get priority over someone that went to league games? We qualified through the league position.

The end goal of the cup is a Wembley final, all those in ACS would qualify for that if we got there.

I think you're really overestimating what the demand will be for this, especially if we don't win the European Cup. This will go to all members.

Maybe so, but it’s something I really want to go to and have some league credits so I’m worrying just, have to travel from NI as well so I don’t want to waste money that I could put towards other games when I’m still not in England

Announced today, was pencilled in for Spurs’ stadium but CL final meant talks between clubs stalled. Would rather play at Murrayfield though, tick one off the stadium list that you wouldn’t get to everyday

One of the best things about this season was my mate from Yorkshire texting me after the Barca win to say his 7 year old son saw that and is now a Red. On the spot, no conferring with his dad (who doesn’t have a clue about footy) or his mates.

He wants to bring him to Bradford and Schalke friendlies. I can assume they will both need to be members for me to buy them tickets?

Wouldn't think so mate, all friendlies went to general sale last year. I’d keep a close eye on both, especially the Bradford game as limited capacity. Shouldn’t have a problem if you keep on the ball. They will go on sale to members first so if you wanna make sure membership could be an option

Don't think they even opened the upper tiers for the Torino friendly at Anfield last season, you should be fine without a membership.

However you might want to buy one for the chance to get first dibs on tickets and spec, especially if you have kids going because the players will be coming round the crowd afterwards to sign things etc
