There's been 131 147's in competition since 1982 and nearly 100 of them have come since 2000.Companies would have had to insure against Maximums given the large sums involved and given the frequency of their occurence after the millenium, it probably became entirely cost inefficient to legislate for/against them.

You aren't watching? If not, basically, Ding was on a break and needed just one more red and black to win the frame. He needed to cannon into the pack to bring some reds into play and nothing ran on easily for him. He missed the red, Ronnie came in and cleared up.
Some bad luck in the last frame but some very good luck in this one. That should be that now.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.
