IIIIIIII HAVE A DREE............... THEORY!

Yeah. I have a theory.

The Green and Yellow theory (No manc green and gold shite)

Jockeys with Green/Yellow silks have finished in the top three in something like 8, out of the last 10 Nationals.

So with that in mind, I went out earlier today, and spent £70.

I put £10 on the nose of all seven starters in green/yellow silks.

Winner coming home at the odds I took @ 14/1.  So I doubled my money.

We-hey !

Dist.   Horse   Wt   Jockey   Trainer   Age   SP
1      BallaBriggs (IRE)    11-0   J M Maguire   D McCain Jnr   10   14/1

3   12   Don't Push It (IRE)    11-10   A P McCoy   Jonjo O'Neill   11   9/1

4      State of Play    10-6   Paul Moloney   Evan Williams   11   28/1

5      Niche Market (IRE)    10-13   Harry Skelton   P F Nicholls   10   16/1

6      The Midnight Club (IRE)    10-13   R Walsh   W P Mullins   10   15/2 f

Green/Yellow.

Works for me almost every year.  8)

Well done winners 8)

Was on Killyglen myself at 66/1, was travelling really nicely out front with Ballabriggs until he fell with 3 or 4 left, if he ran again next year he'd be worth backing.

Off tomorrow so i'll be nicely settled for agood days racing. Been looking at the cards and here's my picks:

1400 - Big bucks with an ew bet on Poungach.

1430 - Pearl Swan. Fell last time out but there'll be value there.

1505 - Burton Port but i'll keep an eye on the prices. Tough race with Henderson having 3 runners. I backed Riverside theatre most of last year but wrote him off my docket at Cheltenham. Hope i don't regret again.

1540 - Cloudy Lane with an ew bet on Sizing America

415 - Tanks for that.

450 - Pepite Rose

525 - Gullinbursti

The most interesting race of the meet is the 15:05 tomorrow is you ask me.

Riverside Theatre vs Burton Port vs Medermit vs Hunt ball.

Burton Port regular at this distance and has an advantage there
Riverside & Medermit first time at this distance so an unknown, but both ran cracking races at the Cheltenham shorter distance.
Hunt Ball ran this distance starting out and didn't really set the world alight, but connections fancy him for the Gold Cup Distance which is just over this.

My money is on Hunt Ball €50w @ 6/1.  Also just did Hunt Ball Ante post for the Gold Cup next year €40w @ 25/1

I have done mine online, just due to the odds coming right down on many. I only use Bet365 and Ladbrokes but chosen between the two on who given the best value.

I'm doing most of my national bets online, just so if I win I don't blow it all on the night out in Liverpool.

Will probably bet on a few on the day as well.

Already stuck a £10 free bet on Seabass as its drifted to 20/1, seems a good price considering it's form and the fact it's strongest on heavy/soft ground.
