Brilliant stuff from Knott the owner of Hunt Ball in the RP this morning  ;D.  Is he nuts? I suppose we'll find out today, and over the next year.

"We have moved up into the big boy league but we think he can step up to it," said Knott.  "He is reallly jumping out of his skin.  We believe we can find quite a few lengths going up in trip and will have no problem staying.  We think he will be a bit like a ballon going down to two out and do a repeat a repeat performance of Cheltenham."
"We will see how good he really is.  I have backed him for the Gold Cup next year.  We believe he can win it comfortably.  I backed him for this at 10-1 last week.  He's about 6-1 now.  It's nearly like picking money up in the road.  I thought he would be 3 or 4-1.  I cant believe the price, just fill your boots up.  If he stands on his feet I cant see anything getting near him.  We think He'll do a forest gump."

right lets talk about free bets. what free bets can i get that can be doubled up within 24 hours (so the free bets aren't recieved after settlement) and can be placed on the same event?

paddypower 50 (for placing 50)
coral 50 (for placing 50)
bluesq 25 (for placing 25)
totesport 20 (for placing 10)
boylesports 40 (for placing 20)

Is this new customers only? Can it be done through the app? Is the offer still open?

Not running at Aintree but I thought I'd throw this horse into the mix this weekend.

He has an absolute stalwart of a name "God of the Kop"

I backed him in his last run at Ffos Las and he hacked up winning by 19 lengths.  He's back there in Ffos Las @ 14:15 this Sunday running an extra 4 furlongs.  McCoy is the jock.

Just doing a bit of Wiki surfing in my dinner hour looking at past National winners and stuff.

Never knew that Minnehoma (1994 Winner) was owned by Freddie Starr.  I know riding or training a National winner is special but owning one must be a proud thing too.

Slightly off Topic but was also reading about JP McManus and bookie Freddie 'fearless' Williams gambling duel at Cheltenham in 2006 - amazing stuff :)

Meh can't be arsed picking horses based on which clobber their pilots are wearing this year so just gone for "On His Own", as i recognised the names underneath it.

Know nothing about the donkeys but had a couple of winners in the last few Nationals. Probably end up doing a few more on saturday when i go to do my match bet.

Any of you more informed folk got any tips? and with how unpredictable the weathers been it wouldnt shock me if it started pissing down on saturday, any of em run better on soft ground or whatever?

Looked nasty that.

Took Countrywide flame. He jumped the 3rd fence from home terribly and it cost him.

Lets go Burton Point. I thinkt he step up in distance may prove too much for the seemingly unstoppable Hunt Ball. Riverside Theatre is the main danger here, he'll relish the dry ground.

Should have been on that. Won over here (Punchestown) last year and had Nacarat miles behind him. Silly price, considering the doubts over others making the distance. Ah well.

Brilliant!

Another 2nd. Wouldn't mind so much if i'd done them EW. Cloudy Lane in the next race. Backed it all last year and again at Cheltenham. Don't think there's great value in at 7's but i'd regret it if i abondoned it now.

Glad i took Cloudy Lane at 7s when it came in at 4s. With Cohen so far in front i thought it was over but the 2nd and 3rd at the time fell and he cut the gap nicely.

Not so much a tip mate but i took Tanks for that in the 415. Trained by Henderson and Geraghty is on it. Great value at 8's. Echo Bob ew looks a solid bet aswell.
