Can only blame ourselves as usual. You just cant miss sitters like that, 4 of the biggest chances you will ever see on a football pitch and we cant turn one in. Hopefully they have enough motivation left to secure 3rd really as based on that we are going to have a bit of nightmare finish to the season.

We did have some amazing chances but lets be honest, it was all desperate stuff from us. We looked spent physically and mentally. There was no structure to our play.

Yep. The big issue isn't missing chances. The big issue is goals conceded. You simply cannot go behind so often and expect to keep winning or concede 2 at OT and expect to win the game.

That is down to the system. To be honest. I could due with seeing something know. Tired of our back line being on the back foot with an easy lofted pass behind the right fullback. Clearly we are no longer up to defending like that, or sides have figured out how to work that position a lot better.

Truly sad about that result, but we have had a heck of a season. The team has overachieved to get to this point but are coming up short. Unfortunately, I think they very much did deserve it. They caused us a lot of problems in the first half and defended very well throughout while we were wasting chance after chance. Far too casual again with under hit/over hit passes and players just going through the motions and expecting to win. That’s not how it works.

I'm not having it. This game was basically the Luton, Sheff Utd, Fulham etc. games on repeat. Only difference is we went out of our way not to score.

Palace threw themselves into challenges and clearances, had some luck along the way, but can’t be faulted for their doggedness.

We couldn’t finish any of the numerous chances we had second half. And some of them were glorious.

Unless there’s a major slip up from our rivals, that’s that for the season - a really shitty way for Klopp’s tenure to end. I’m utterly and completely pissed off at the last three performances and results. So much of what we prided ourselves on had unraveled. Such a disappointing anticlimax.

Probably where we miss a Matip style defender who will run with the ball and take a chance. Palace were set up in a good shape, but our passing today was way off. I can forgive Trent for being rusty, but everyone else.. really does feel like we're mentally and physically jaded. It was guilty of everyone today and the same on Thursday too.

What does a Liverpool goal look like? It used to mean a fullback blowing past everyone and cutting back for a tap-in, or it would mean soaking up pressure and then springing back and hitting teams on the break. I honestly don’t know what our consistent path to goals is this season. For all the talk of “chaos” and “firepower”, we don’t seem to know what to do with it.

A lot of games with a lot of injured players ultimately lead us here. But today we saw the other side of of the team which compares to the one previously, the efficiency and ruthlessness of our forward trio. It’s not the same. We produced enough chances to win this game but it was just missing.
Also poor midfield and defending on their goal.

I just think this squad isn’t quite good enough. It’s as simple as that. We’ve basically got to this position in the league without playing that well. We’ve grinded out results, coming from behind so many times. We’ve had very few comfortable wins. It’s always a struggle. That isn’t sustainable.

It's games like this you remember just how important peak Henderson, Milner and Fabinho were to our success. That physical presence in midfield and the ability to grab a game by the scruff of ita neck is really something we're missing right now. I'd suggest the tendency to let in early goals is also symptomatic of a mental frailty, but that's something that goes back two or three years at least.

Everyone seems out of energy, belief, composure all the things that are vital at this time of the season. I do get the frustrations but it’s not down to individuals. The whole teams gone right now.

The reality is that we aren’t good enough to win a League title. Just be thankful we won a cup and will comfortably finish in the top 4 but the Europa League was a trophy we should have won but won’t.

We're done. We could have played for another five hours there and we wouldn't have scored. Even when Jones was clear through on goal, I knew he wouldn't score. Every other team in the league would have buried that chance, except us.

We make such unbelievably hard work of scoring goals, even when we're in better form, yet it comes so easily for other teams. They have one chance, they score one goal. We have twenty chances, we score one goal (or none at all).

Every single game is just Liverpool labouring over chances. Passing, passing, passing, looking for an opening, messing it up, passing, passing, passing...

You can't fault them for effort but the technical ability, composure and perhaps the system itself, aren't enough.

Gutted that we don't get the fairytale ending for Klopp but it's been a hell of a nine years. And I'll always be SO glad, that Jurgen was a red.
