Ridiculous numbers!
I had to double check just to make sure you hadn't made a mistake (8 years instead of 18).
He would have been absolutely perfect for us with Klopp in charge. Glad to see he's still playing well, and this season he seems to have gone crazy with his goals tally!

Add over 100 international apperances on top of that as well. The bloke is a machine and I have a feeling he'll make a great coach too.

Nailed on to manage Feyenoord at some point.

A lotta talk about Gerrard joining the coaching staff at Melwood. Wouldn't mind Dirk having a role there as well. Bit similar to Kolo in that sense. Just a great personality to have around.

35 years old, 38 appearances, 23 goals. Eridivise Player of the Season.

When you look up the word professional and it references football there will be a photo of Dirk and Xabi.

He'll naturally fall into a management role in Holland.

Kuyt signs new Feyenoord deal (Source: Goal)

Quote
Dirk Kuyt has agreed a 12-month contract extension to remain at Feyenoord for the 2016-17 season.

The 35-year-old forward rejoined the Rotterdammers last year following spells with Liverpool and Fenerbahce and proved he had lost none of his predatory instincts with 19 goals in 32 league games as Feyenoord finished third in the Eredivisie and also claimed the KNVB Beker.

The former Netherlands international is pleased to have extended his stay.

He told the club's official website: "I'm glad that I am staying at this great club for one more year.

"The squad put together a very good season which ended with the cup triumph. If you've won a trophy you want more and we should go into next season with this feeling. I am excited and confident."

Feyenoord technical director Martin van Geel added: "We believe that Dirk will play a very big role next season on and off the pitch. It is also an important sign that he, as a leader, has confidence in Feyenoord."
"There is no final victory, just as there is no final defeat. There is just the same battle to be fought over and over again."

Had a dream that we re-signed him on a free and felt delighted about it.

Will never forget the workhorse that he was, with more times than not a very good end product too. I think Klopp would have loved him.

Had the assist in the game on opening day which got them their winner as well if I recall. Beautiful header - turned as the ball was actually going away from him - laid it into the path of the attacking player who slotted it home.

I watched highlights of their very first game. Brad Jones was still shit, and he made a clanger (which led to a goal? Definitely a few clangers which led to chances).

Kuyt is fucking brilliant though. Him and Xabi - could still playing in the MLS or some shit league when they're 55.

Just came in to post that article, it's a good read. I think we sold him too soon, it seems self evident given his current form. We could have done with him alongside Stevie in 2014...

Currently helping his side on their way to their seventh win out of seven in the league. 2-0 up. They've only conceded 2 goals so far. Great stuff.

Kuyt is some sort of a hybrid of Jimmy Case and John Wark - he'll still be playing after Ojo has retired ;)

A good 5 point lead over 2nd placed Ajax - only 7 games into the season, but a great start for Feyenoord.

Feyenoord again! 1-0 down at h/t and Dirk has helped them go 1-2 up away to NEC with 2 mins to play.

Ghoochannejhad has just scored against them after 7 mins, yes really, for Heerenveen.

Might be the day their amazing unbeaten run comes to a halt but better to concede early, they have 80 odd mins to turn it around.

Cmon Dirk.
