But are the tickets not in the name of the person who bought the tickets and ID checked based on something like a passport? As someone who has never been to Anfield who would love the chance to go one day that genune fans who have built up loyalty and yet are denied the chance of a final ticket because supposed fans of the club are too busy trying to profit from it. Sad state of modern football I guess.

Would be a massive risk buying off ebay (which is supposed to banned) to be out of pocket and risk not get to see the game as well. Hope they get banned for it.

So I managed to book a flight relatively cheap, but looking unlikely I can go due to work commitments (I'd have to somehow just have a day trip instead, but the flights are expensive and purely just to "be there" in the City as I was going solo and ticketless).

I have to pick my tickets up in Basel, when I rang the Ticket Office this morning they said they would text and e-mail the Lead Customer with collection details when they get them from UEFA and Basel.

They also said that the tickets which were stolen from LFC were hospitality tickets and not ours !

This is exactly what is happening with us, John. My mate is gonna call back at 2pm. He's in Spain working on the Olympics but our mate is in Liverpool if they find it.

It's quite annoying as he only lands at 6pm on the day so is going direct to the ground but doesn't leave him much time to find any ticket office and have it done in time.

Hard to understand how they can be lost so easily unless sadly someone in the ticket office has pocketed a couple or given the wrong ones out or something.

There are some dumb people about - full details of their ticket including seat number, barcode and serial number.

Half right Stoz, they never called me back, but i went the window anyway, they eventually found the ticket, in the other persons name even though i did it through my account and then friends and family, pretty sure the ticket should be listed in my name, unless i am wrong ?

Yeah, it SHOULD be listed in your name being the purchaser. But as with anything to do with the ticket office, be prepared for every possibility, and expect the unexpected!

Not sure why they wanted these details unless UEFA just stick all this data in a massive database to spam us at a later point.

They're sure doing a great job of stopping this touting business by pumping out tickets with no specific owner details on
