very good. Great all round performance. Certainly not over but gives us a bit of breathing space back at Anfield.

Jones did very well. Good energy and a clean sheet.

A bit of an old school Klopp game, open, loads of pressure and a bit more direct. Thought Kabak and Jones were outstanding, less said about the cameo from Chamberlain the better.

Brilliant. Looked like us.

We struggled at times for control in midfield, but that’s to be expected. Our pressing was excellent and our front three looked lively.

As predicted, the officiating was a breath of fresh air.

Phew.

I was just thinking about 2 minutes before the goal that it must have been weeks, if not months, since we scored a bit of a scrappy goal/benefitted from a mistake rather than score a perfect goal. Then along came two in 5 minutes. The opposition not being clinical for the first time in weeks was nice to see as well. Something to build on, and there’s still a bit of work to do, but a few more weeks to play ourselves into form, get a couple of players back and hopefully we get the job done.

Shout out to Groundskeeper Willie for the commentary and having a the goals nicked off him by a couple of poachers!

Deserved. A good opponent for us as well with the way they play. Open, expansive and a high line. Made for a good game and we took our chances second half. European refs as well.

Good to score from two of their mistakes as well after months of needing to score the perfect goal.

Fantastic stuff. Nothing like a EC win in midweek. Hard work was put in tonight, some great performances, some great clinical finishing and resolve overall.

The Derby is next, where for the first time I'm concerned, with their aerial advantage over of us, but this will help with the confidence going into that.

Excellent performance. Some really good individual displays and was lovely to see a decent ref. Salah is the best player on the planet though I see our boy Mbappe tried to join that tier tonight!

Need to be better at limiting opposition chances when we have to play Mbappe and co or Lewandowski and co in the later rounds but hopefully Fab helps with that and I suppose it is what it is given all the injuries anyway!

Absolutely, I've said before because the refs in the Premier League give so many free kicks to the opposition, it breaks up our momentum and gives it back to the opposition.

Thought that last chance was in from them. I was just waiting for it to hit the net. Henderson hadn't put a foot wrong all night and lead the team well but just switched off for a split second.

It was a great performance overall. Took our chances and forced them to make errors all game. The media will put it down to errors that got us the win but we were definitely the superior side overall.

Thought we lacked a bit of ball retention and calmness when both Firmino and Thiago both went off during the second half. Ball wasn't sticking in midfield or up front and the game became very scrappy but the damage was already done.

Yep - my thoughts exactly.... his passes/distribution were often lacking (first half mainly to be fair), but his general positioning and shot stopping was fantastic throughout. Class goalie :-)

Brilliant performance. Really assured and confident throughout. Two chances gifted to us really but, as we know all too well recently, those ones still count. Both very calmly converted.

One huge chance for them at the end but you’re never going to play away in the CL and not have a few moments like that.

All in all tonight feels like exactly what we needed. Let’s hope it acts as something of a fresh start.

After lockdown, crap luck and everything that could go wrong doing so, that was a tonic. Our pressing was excellent, but most of all, the OFFICIATING😳- what a stark difference from what we’ve had to suffer over the past few months.

Great win and deserved. Leipzig were good - aggressive without anything sinister. A proper opponent in a proper game.

It’s my 73rd birthday tomorrow - this is the best possible present. Oh and I was that confident, I had a few quid on us👍

A solid performance. Salah and Mane scored when they had to and that won us the game. Thought they'd get a goal right at the end, but fortunately it stayed 2-0. We were the better side and this was a really good result. In particular after the last couple of weeks. This was exactly what we could have asked for. Let's build on this win.

Excellent performance from start to finish.

First half looked like the usual can't score, but great finishes from forced errors in the second and coasting.
Only concern for me was that the right ball in behind Hendo and he can be exposed by pace, so we need to work on positioning and stopping those passes until we can get him back in the middle.

Kabak was really good. Henderson always excels in these games. Good to finally have some luck with their sloppy passing and mistakes. But still ice cold finishes from Mane and Salah.

Good performance and two good goals. Both Salah and Mane took their goals well.

Jones had a great first half but Henderson shaded him overall. Loved the diving header from Kabak near the end to clear the ball.

I thought we played very well until our two subs came on and then we lost our shape a bit.

We kept our head under pressure and scored two good goals.

MOTM Henderson by a mile.

Can we play in the Champions League every week please? Good standard of game, decent opposition and no shitehouse refs. How very refreshing.

Great performance though, and a shout out to Kabak for putting in a good shift and showing us a glimpse of what he can do. He's got a good eye for danger, and will only improve the more he plays with the back line. Also thought Thiago looked much more himself, probably because he knows RBL well from his Bundesliga days. Although they somewhat gifted us the chances they were an honest test with loads of energy, didn't play dirty, and kept our lads on their toes. It was a game and opposition that we needed.

Most of all though, that was for the boss. Onwards now to the small matter of REVENGE against those fucking grocks along the road.
