Love this guy. His swagger is so good in a game like this. Hope he kicks on next season and becomes a big part of our squad.

The best thing about that game was Curtis getting his first league goal. Get in lad!
if I came home to allison in bed with my wife I'd ask him to phone Virgil to see if he wanted to pop round too.

New contract yesterday, first Premier League goal today to go with his other milestones this season.

He's got everything to be a quality player for Liverpool, that goal will be the first of many. And he'll grab every opportunity he's given along the way.

Hopefully he starts during the week. Will be good to see what he's like around better players over a longer period. We're also missing a player who can link midfield to attack against those teams that sit off.

Curtis Jones is our new hope. Anything lesser than below will dissapoint me:

1) Captain Liverpool by his 21st Birthday.
2) Win Ballon d'or by 23.
3) Win 15 straight UCL and League with LFC.
4) Beat Josef Bican goal record of 805 goals.
5) Beat Ian Callaghan Record of 857 games for Liverpool.

I do not think that is much to ask of a once in 20 generation player like him. Sorry Mason Greenwood.

He knows it too.

Yeah he really does.

He’s gonna be so physically imposing. Six foot 1 at 19, playing for the club he supports and came through the ranks at? Talk about a testosterone drip.

If he stays grounded and learns the tactical ropes he can be whatever he wants to be eh?

Yeah I think he can honestly be whatever he wants. He looks grounded, intelligent and speaks very well off the pitch and on it he’s got superb technique, really good timing and knows when to pass and shoot.

Next step is doing everything with lot more intensity, in all other areas he's pretty much ready.

Even before his goal, every one of his touches (except the high shot he fashioned for himself) was lovely. Was the cruyf turn inside his first touch?

Immediately came on and played at the game's tempo, while also being responsible with the ball (and clearly trusted in a tight surrounded spot by Trent, which is telling)

I saw a bit of Jones when he played for the under 18s, not sure if he was playing centre mid at the time, but he always impressed me with his skill to bomb on and score/create chances, I can see him doing that for the main team in years to come, hopefully for the entirety of his career! Does have an eye for a goal as we've already saw a few times in the last few months.

I think he could probably even see minutes if Mane was to come off, and let Curtis do his thing down the left hand side. I think he'll become an excellent player on the left hand side of that midfield.

Great positioning in the box, before the cross, and then to get out to score the goal. Oh, and great beforehand running with the ball - making defenders "there´s two in the same lane, what to do?" before passing to Hendo.

Like some have said Lallana replacement.

He looks like he's naturally a class above, even at this level. Obviously has a long way to go, but his potential is huge.
