Finally got round to watching Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1 last night.

This has to be the best action franchise around. Absolutely riveting with a slight sprinkle of shits & giggles during the car chase in the FIAT.

Can't wait for the sequel.

My only negative...

Spoiler
how to you kill off Rebecca Ferguson and just drop in Hayley Atwell as an instant replacement?

Me and the lad went to 'Monkey Man' yesterday. Pretty good.  Kind of a John Wick, Kill Bill hybrid. Nothing groundbreaking to be honest but we both enjoyed it.

Now I've never been to India but I think Patel gave us a great feeling of being right there in a claustrophobic, bustling sweating underbelly of a major City in India.

Fuck me though, my head was spinning when it finished due to the shaky cam and frantic editing.

Oh yeah, off-topic.  Never go to the Trafford Centre during Eid.  Especially if you plan to grab a bit of scran before the movie :)

David Copperfield, Lion and Hotel Mumbai are all worth a watch.

Thought David Copperfield was shite to be honest. Did everything it could to be annoying.

Saw The First Omen

Not bad. Liked the way they shot it to look like an actual prequel to the first one. Very clever.

I saw Immaculate the other day as well - and they must have deffo robbed the script from the First Omen

Spoiler

But then went off on that wank DNA story

Worth a watch if you like classic horror.

Film going to watch in the current weeks;

Sieze Them! (Looks shit but has Nick Frost)

Civil War (Looks interesting)

Back to Black (Like her music, might be an interesting film)

Unsinkable (Again, er, looks interesting - lots of 'interesting' films coming up :D )

Mad Max: Fury Road (Looks complete shite, but likely to watch it)

Borderlands (I. Cannot. Wait!)

Watched Wicked little Lies, true story, far better than I expected, typical reaction from the Telegraph was to slag it off for the crude Language with no plot, boll... there is a lot of swearing and Language crude but all essential to the plot, that's the whole point. the letters shocked the whole village.  been a while since ive watched a movie that's made me laugh so much.

Road House ok but nothing exceptional.
One Love is for the Bob Marley fans.
Killers of the Flower moon, expected more, worth a watch though.
Napoleon, enjoyed it.
The Beekeeper, Don't mess with Jason Stratham. enjoyed it.

I can't explain it, but the visuals kind of "popped out"

I saw Fury Road at the cinema (but not when it initially came out, was a rewatch) - the 'Chrome & White' version - and it was amazing. Wish my first viewing but would definitely recommend looking out for showings to anyone who didn't catch on the big screen

Ahh the memories

The best one though was Rocky IV in the same year as Mad Max.  Absolutely rammed cinema full of teenagers.

In that final fight, when Rocky started pummeling Drago.  There was mayhem in the cinema and everyone was throwing punches along with Rocky.  For that 10 or 15 minutes everyone seemed to forget it wasn't real.

Honestly, that night at Rocky IV was unforgettable
