Get an early goal in the second half and hopefully they will be a lot more nervous like they were early on in the game. It's been interesting watching Mo's positioning this game, he's been wandering a lot more centrally.

Atalanta continue to be very good and very tough opponents. We’ve been much better but too frantic.

Jota for Diaz and we've got this. Gakpo and TAA have been brilliant. Dom has been good in bursts but he's often a little too confident in his own abilities when he should focus on the basics. We've given them a teeny bit too much encouragement but I've been impressed by our movement, we've clearly got a game plan for the man-marking - seriously, man-marking, in the modern game? If anything Atalanta have shown themselves to be a one trick pony, whereas we've not really gone beyond third gear. Chuck it up to fifth in the second half and we'll blow them to bits. Have faith people.

Once again lacklustre in attack. Overplayed when not needed and shooting when better options available. Need more composure. How often have we said that lately?

Passing and shooting - woeful by players who should be doing better. The effort is miles better but it’s inexcusable that Salah missed that chance. Jones and Szoboszlai making 5-10 yard passes look impossible.

The good thing is we have been well on top and deserve the lead. Could do with another early goal in the second half to give us enough time. I just worry we’re passing too much in front of goal to have enough opportunities to score.

Can someone apart from diaz just try and turn and face them, if you lose the ball ok, we are losing it playing as we are. Just have a go, get them turned facing their own goal

The bar was low but much better than last week. Still a few lapses with the passing but Nunez and Jota to come on soon and that should be when things get going

Never watched Atalanta before much, but if this game and a half against us is anything to go by, they produce god-awful games of football.
We're so out of form, and still finding some ways round their bore-marking. If one or two players can get some wind in their sails, we'll have a chance.

That one on one from Salah was dreadful, cannot believe how badly he's fucked it up and it could end up costing us. 2-0 there and everything is different

That handball is a red, it's deliberate handball to stop a player going one on one with the keeper. The other defender isn't getting back in time to cover so that's no excuse, the ref has bottled it

Need Elliott, Jota and Nunez on as early as possible

Surprised no one has pointed out that we as a team are really bad at playing out of a press with passing and movement. We couldn't build up through the midfield at all in that half. Alisson just stood there for ages looking for options, then he had to go long. People are trying to pin the problem to this player or that player but the real problem is the whole team and their coaching.

Disagree. 100% Diaz is trapping it with the outside of his foot, second touch into the box, and 3rd touch whipping it past the far post and into that empty stand behind. Still counts as an opportunity though.

Unlikely to give DOGSO when the attacker is not in control of the ball 35 yards away from goal, plus their number 19 was not that far away from the ball. 50/50 decision IMO, but understandable.
