The league hasn't gone. No need to throw in the towel yet when there is still plenty of football to be played.

If nothing else it's essential we get top 4.

Exactly.  We've got to aim for top spot.  That might see us only finish in the top 4 but as Jurgen has said many times, you don't just aim for a minimum of 4th otherwise you might finish 5th.

Kabak means "pumpkin" but it also means "bald" and "rotten, unripe vegetable/fruit" (it's mostly used for watermelon.)

Nutmegging Trent in training.

He looks confident.

I have a good feeling about Kabak.  Throw him in vs City.

Agree, sink or swim, need to get him in there.

Always difficult to tell from YouTube compilations, but the things that stood out for me were: looks very comfortable and confident in possession, not afraid to bring it out of defence, works hard, and makes himself available for an outball - all important factors in our setup.

The transfer arrangement is perfect, and if he comes good and we buy him in the summer, it could be a silver lining after all the bad luck we've had with injuries. He could also prove invaluable in helping us manage Virgil and Joe's return next season.
I've got OCD, but I prefer to call it CDO so it's in alphabetical order.

Personally I think it's a game too soon for him, although I get the impression that he would love to start this.

I'd be surprised if he played today. If there is one game in world football you wouldn't expect Klopp to throw a new signing in at CB, this is it.

In saying that, he has been known to spring a few surprises, Klopp.  ;D

My thought about playing him against City is that he will be at least as good as about half of the people who have played in our defence this season so far. This is massively offset though in terms of risk factor by how much him freeing up a midfielder strengthens our midfield, and to some percent, attacking ball supply. He is also fractionally less vulnerable in defence because his being in place allows a defensive mid to be in front of him. It also means that we have a slightly stronger bench for the 14 man game we are going to play against a Pep team.

You buy an emergency centre back - then don't play him? Not like he is not match ready - he's been playing regularly in a division just as strong as the Premier League.

He played last week against Werder Bremen. He's fit. Fabinho and Henderson are desperately needed in midfield.

Strange.

I'm not surprised in the slightest that Kabak (or Davies) didn't play today, I think with a week ahead of the Leicester game we can hopefully see Kabak and possibly Davies starting with Fab and Hendo back in midfield where we are really missing them.

We’ve got little to lose by throwing Kabak (and/or Davies) in starting against Leicester and beyond. At the rate we’re going, top 4 is looking increasingly uncertain. Get Hendo and/or Fabinho back in midfield.
