I got four hours sleep Wednesday night, five hours Thursday night, couldnt get to sleep last night until 4am but thought I could have a lie in until about 12 but next door had the builders in at 8am this morning fixing his porch, hammering and drilling all morning so only four hours kip last night.

If it's not insomnia and just your body clock, I recommend slow-release melatonin. Way better than sleeping tablets as they are really for insomnia and make you drowsy in the morning. They prescribe it for jet lag, but my body clock got out of sync and I was never tired until after 4am. Two weeks on melatonin (2mg) has reset my sleep. If your GP doesn't prescribe it, there are UK pharmacies that will prescribe it online - just say it's jet lag, which is essentially the same.

People that whoop and cheer at jokes in a comedy show.

If its funny laugh, or at most clap if it’s clever. American comedy shows are full of people that just go ‘WOOOOOO’ after a joke, and it’s starting to come over here a bit too.

‘Woo’ is only an appropriate response if they state an agreeable opinion, or at the end of the show to give appreciation. Not after a random joke, that’s not a normal response.

Am I alone in finding a lot of what I'll call 'private sentiment shared publicly' really annoying? It's mother's day posts on social media that have caught my attention this week...

"Happy Mothers Day to ___ - the best mummy and wife we could ever hope for. Thank you for everything you do for us xxx"

Never understood the need for sharing this on a public forum. Just express your feelings privately...!?

But how else can they show off about their amazing life, family etc?

People are so insecure that their achievements aren't recognised so have to take out free advertising on social media to show the world how great they are.

It's sad that they're so bothered about what total strangers think about their own lives yet barely think about those closest to them.

Being woken up my my dog whining in the night, which very rarely happens. Get up, let her out the back, she does a wee. Nip back upstairs to grab my phone as I think I’ll sleep on the sofa in case she doesn’t settle, come back downstairs and she’s shat on the rug. Lovely stuff.

Apple Iphone group text to mixed Apple/Android phones is utter shit.

You can only have 20 people if some are not Apple phones and you can't subtract people. If you want to take someone off, you ohave to type in the entire group again.

Of all the things Apple could do, I don't understand how this is so hard.

They could easily fix it, but then they'd risk a lot of defectors

I'd deffo start looking at android phones if the text thing got fixed

What's the benefit of text vs WhatsApp?
"All the lads have been talking about is walking out in front of the Kop, with 40,000 singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone'," Collins told BBC Radio Solent. "All the money in the world couldn't buy that feeling," he added.

WhatsApp not as prevalent in the states as it is worldwide

Basically this. I coach my step sons middle school soccer team (age 11-14 football team) and most of the kids/parents have androids/old phones and some have iphones. I have only ever gotten one whatspapp from within the US and that was from my German friend. Americans just dont use it. So I'm stuck using the basic message text service to communicate to everyone.

No winter here either. One snowy morning and a few frosts.

Other than that it's rained for five months.

No other messenger aps either? Or an app designed for organising clubs, such as Spond? (All of these work perfectly on Android phones too).

Thanks. I have never really tried to see if everyone could acually download the same app and just gone Route One that everyone knows and has. Thanks for the suggestion.

I know a couple of clubs that use Spond, seems to do what people want. You can chat like in whatsapp, but its also easy to create "events" and set up like a poll to see who's coming. I think you can even collect subs/money, but I don't know anyone who is using that.
