It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

Personally I can see Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs all winning given what's at stake but who knows.

There's still the minor possibility of a 3rd place play-off depending on results between Arsenal and Chelsea.

If all three win Chelsea take the automatic Champions League qualification spot, Arsenal finish fourth and have to play a qualifier and Tottenham are in the Europa League.

A Chelsea draw could still see them take the automatic spot if Arsenal do not better their result. However, if Chelsea draw 0-0 and Arsenal win 2-1 they will play off for third place as they would be on the same points and have the same goal difference and goals scored totals.

An Arsenal draw would see them finish fourth unless Spurs win.

Spurs need to win, and Arsenal fail to win, if they are to overtake their north London rivals as the Gunners have a far superior goal difference.

It's funny looking at the table the gulf between 7th and the places below. Our goal difference is +27 heading into tomorrow and every single team below us has a minus gd.

There are 7 teams which could finish as high as 11th or as low as 17th, so still plenty to play for.
(prize money last year: 11th got $7.5m, 17th got $3m)

Expect most of the games to go to form, but maybe Norwich to get a point at Man.City.

Must admit that for entertainment purposes then results conspiring to force a third play playoff game would be brilliant. Highly unlikely but playoff games so far this season have fantastic, and I'd like to see them both have to go at it.

Thought any draw and any arsenal win by 1 wood mean a play off ?

1-1 v 3-2
2-2 v 2-1
Etc?

Probably one of the least entertaining last day's of the season in a while. No relegation fight (Although what a game Villa v Wigan would of been ) or Premiership run. Instead it's the race for fourth and Fergie's retirement wankfest.

Did the same thing not happen to Pistone when he played for Newcastle?

I reckon Newcastle will beat Arsenal and Spurs will draw at Sunderland.

I don't blame Jones for overreacting at all. The picture of that pig's head is one disgusting sight. What an ugly animal.

Don't Muslims believe in not eating pork, because of the filthiness of a pig? I can kinda see their point, after seeing that dead pig's head.

Can't really decide if I'd prefer Arsenal or Spurs to get the fourth place spot. Spurs got shafted last year after the rule change because some people thought winning fourth was better than winning the European cup, eight years ago.
Suppose I don't really care either way. Logically you can see some big spenders throwing money at Spurs for Bale and if they come 5th, he may be more likely to listen?
Maybe he'll be loyal to the team thats made him the player he is? I know he didn't come through their youth system but he's grown into a fine player under Spur's guidance. A rare breed but some do still exist. I think? Or is it just hope?

If thats the case, then its pretty seriously bang out of order.

Will the FA step in? Will they fuck.

Seems a case that Suarez would be hung out to dry for, if he had done the same to a Muslim player at Liverpool.

Well the word is that Bale's putting pen to paper on a new contract. Hopefully that'll happen!! At the end of the day he's only 23 so hes got plenty of time for a big move should he not be able to fulfill his ambitions with us

Got no faith in Newcastle getting anything today anyway. Fair play to Arsenal though - they've been absolutely immense the past couple of months.
