Kevin De Bruyne (14) and Rodri (9) are the only two Premier League players that have provided more assists than Harvey Elliott (8) in 2024.

Can’t see that happening, think one of them will get a draw somewhere, probably City against West Ham.  Think Fulham and Spurs will have too much for City, with Utd and Everton being too strong for Arsenal.

sorry to break it to you but City beat Wolves 5 1 yesterday evening.

Can easily see Everton doing us a favour against Arsenal.

Think the 2000 will prove a vintage renewal but the 1000 will prove to be garbage in my opinion. Something has to win them though.

If he persists with 4-2-3-1, Elliott will be a shoe-in

In what looks on paper to be his best position as well, can't wait.

I'd love to see what Elliott could do in the #10 role - I don't think he's a forward and I do think there are games where he gets swallowed up as an #8 (one of my bigger frustrations this season has been the way we've used him - he's started games he's maybe not suited for, but not got in the pitch in others where it's been screaming out for a player like him), but I think as a #10 he could really excel.

I do wonder if we'll maybe stick with a 4-3-3 though, as we have a lot of #8s. If we get a DM like seemingly everyone thinks we should, you've suddenly got one spot for all of Mac Allister, Jones, Gravenberch, Endo and maybe even Trent. Slot has played with 4-3-3 a bit as well hasn't he? It does seem a little more suited to our squad, balance-wise.

Come on Jak, you bloody need this one. 3-1 win for this mini session would be massive

Think Slot plays 433 more than 4231. But he sure is more Pep than Klopp and changes his formation from time to time. Everyone will have a place in his team.

Thought this game was a good representation of our season really. Play well for large parts, but we lost control and took a while for us to really take the sting out of the game. I think this problem is systematic though, rather than with personnel. That press was so off for large parts after we made the subs and then we overplayed a times.

There's plenty to be proud about of this season, but few areas where can massively improve too. And let's not forget the injuries this season which totally destroyed our momentum. City and Arsenal both got incredibly soft penalty decisions yesterday too to break the deadlocks - that sort of luck has deserted us for large parts this season. Not to make this a moan, but you need a lot of luck to win league titles too and not sure we've had much this season.

Thought Mo was back to his best today, but you can really tell he's lost that massive burst of pace he used to have.
