This is frustrating.

Be lucky to get 280 now.

300 would be great.

Livingstone is a dangerous player.

Flatters to deceive far too much for me. Tame dismissal.

300 would be good - but you'd expect NZ to be very happy chasing a target of about that.  What a bloody great over this has been from Trent Boult - dot, dot, dot, dot, wicket.  After this 39th over, with us at 221-6 they have 6 more overs from the three (Boult/Henry/Santner) who are going at about 4.5 an over - can't see us taking that much more than 30-35 best case scenario against them.  Lets be ultra generous and say we can get 35.  That would leave us needing, from the remaining 5 overs (presumably shared between Neesham and Ravindra), to need to take 44 from them to get to that 300, with every run the main three conceed fewer than that 35 needing to be made up from the other 5 overs.

Scotty - where does Glenn fucking Phillips fit into your StatPack?

I just checked - as I thought he was more a keeper in their domestic game - has bowled in 10 of his 20 matches in ODI cricket, averaging 4 overs if he does bowl, and taken 6 wickets before today - so it seems like they do seem him more as a Root/Livi style occasional bowler.  Although in T20s, where he has played 63 matches, he has only bolwed in 8 matches.

The good news is their best bat, Kane Williamson, isn't playing, so that helps massively.

At least all 11 can hold a bat...though some of the shots today would suggest otherwise!

Just take the singles for a couple of overs and then go hell for leather and pray they get up towards 300

Around 270 isn't that bad on this ground. Definitely not a ground where 300+ is par.

Still hopeful England can win this one. That said, NZ are slight favourites at this point.

Good effort from Rashid and Wood. Took it to the last over and had a go.

Not an awful score. 50 or so more than the last time we played them in a World Cup. :D
