Bloody hell Betty, top work, thanks!

Ha, I may have underestimated the undertaking in doing all that. But my OCD meant I had to finish it once I'd started  :D

Is it 8 picks? Feel sure I still need Horror, cartoon/Family and Wildcard but think I’ve made 6 picks. What’s gone wrong?!

Highlander is a great wee film. So is Flash Gordon. Let's play spot the Queen fan now.

I won't be around until about 3pm tomorrow. Anyone willing to take my next pick from me?

Sure mate, leave it with me.

I loved highlander, watched it countless time. Used broom handles "There can be only one!!"

You just have to ignore Highlander 2 which was a hot mess.

Ideally, I would love to put Do the Right Thing in the Comedy category. Both IMDB and wiki describe it as a comedy-drama but letterboxed doesn't. It is a comedy until the last act.

However, not the end of the world if people disagree. Many good comedies still left to pick from.

Rosie's opening dance sequence remains one of the coolest things ever.

Indeed, it sets the tone for the film. She had some moves, it ain't easy to dance to Fight the Power.

If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

I’m up ladies, so I can make my picks.

I’ve encountered a bit of a problem with the years thing though. It seems like every movie I had pencilled for my last three spots are from the same three years that I already got. Frankly, it got a bit ridiculous how every movie I had shortlisted, and there were many, where from the those exact years. So I’ll have to dig a bit deeper now to comply with that rule some asshole come up with. Fuck me.

I'd certainly never lower myself to taking the third best movie of a trilogy in this sort of draft

I like Karate Kid but it'll be a scandal if that gets picked and there are no Rocky films in this.

My favourite Rocky is in another decade. The problem is Rocky only goes in one category (drama) and I don't think it even fits particularly well in that one. Had it been available in action, it would definitely have been snapped up by now. Sure someone will take one as a wildcard. Probably not me though. I don't think anyone can handle the cheese of seeing Karate Kid and Rocky in the same team  :D

The two best Rockys are from the 70s, but you cant argue against Thunderlips and Clubber Lang
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Rocky IV is my favorite of the bunch because it is self aware. It embraces the schlock.

If I want a more serious boxing film I would rather watch Raging Bull or When we were Kings.

I'd certainly never lower myself to taking the third best movie of a trilogy in this sort of draft

That would be a dumb move.

Yes Betty! An 80s classic. Staple of any kid’s party back in the day.

You’re alright Larusso!

Yes! The You're The Best scene is one of the best of the decade :P
