Little tip for anyone in group of 10 or more looking for travel in France or from e.g. Belgium to Paris: we’ve just got group save train tickets on SNCF from Lille to Paris and back in first class for £21.70 each way. We’re coming from Brussels and can get trains to Lille for £20 from there. Works out cheaper than the coach now.

It's now 261- count is as follows:

B3- 31
B4- 142
B8-7
C5- 1
C7- 26
D1- 1
Y5- 15
Y6- 26
Y7- 3
Y8-9
So are these mainly CAT2? Is this likely to rise up the waiting list as people without flights suddenly realise this is unaffordable??

They serve beer according to this.
https://www.stadefrance.com/en/practical-information/dining-catering.

I'm guessing but not certain, that UEFA rules will override. There was none in Madrid. Parched. Found a little bar on one of the side streets after leaving. The poor single Mahou tap was running dry but soldiering on. Fella handed me a litre plastic cup whoch took about half an hour to fill up. Beautiful in the end!

UEFA rules changed quite some time ago to local rules. We were drinking in the stands in Genk.

at €8 a go I hope you're taking your credit card! ;D

Take it there's no ale in the stadium, for the plebs anyway?

In the guidance says can't take water or empty bottles in. Was seriously furious when they ran out of water bottles in Madrid. No water fountains. Which is ludicrous. And it was a scrum to try and get soft drinks.

The stade de France site says you can take 500ml bottles in here: https://www.stadefrance.com/en/practical-information/prohibited-items

Anyone wanna swap a Wolves ticket for the final!?

Someone asked me to swap the other day as they didn't think their passport would come in time and it's turned up this morning (twat  >:().

It got me thinking there maybe someone else out there in the same boat.

Going through security at Munich I'd been given a water bottle and forgot about it.

The security guard wouldn't let me drink it empty and told me it had to go through the machine for her "colleague" to take it off me.

Read that again. Some of these "security" staff are absolute weirdos.

I'll be taking mine but trying to hide it somewhere, probably wrap it inside a scarf or something in my hands.

You certainly will - Paris is extortionate. Feels more expensive then London at times.

So street tinnies it will be (at least until the French Police inevitably decide to start getting aggressive - don´t have much faith in them policing this particularly amiably)

It's not really a debate over a single water bottle. I'll be taking more banned items than a water bottle in... not arsed about that.

The issue is noted above. Madrid ran out of water. Before that it was a scrum before HT to get water/soft drinks (28 degree heat). No water fountains.

I think it was Rhi above who nailed it. It's disregard for fans safety and wellbeing. There should be free water. I think it was 5 euros in Madrid when available. Madness.

Not in any way acceptable and you are absolutely correct about it being a safety issue.

That said, Spain is very weird about water. There is never water put out for meals, and asking a waiter for a glass or jug of tap water is likely to be met with a blank or perplexed expression. On the occasions they do bring out a jug, they will only supply one glass for the person who ordered rather then for the whole table- so you have to specify how many glasses you want as well. The standard in night clubs here is to charge 5€ for a bottle of water and refuse to provide tap water - presumably to make up for the lack of drinks being bought due to everyone being barnetted. Walking the street here and looking at people out and about, you would think they just don´t drink water. And in a country as hot as this. For sure there is no equivalent laws to the UK on being legally obliged to provide water. How these people all live to be 90 I will never know!

No idea how France compares, but I would prepare for the worst in terms of water being supplied.
