All that shit from Richie about being a true blue, kissing the badge, the constant social media shite obsessing about Liverpool , first chance he gets and he is off. :lmao
Once a blue, always a (whatever club comes in for them)

And he’s being mourned as a departing legend. :D

I've been busy so haven't seen any news.

'Richy' given the usual 'He just gets us though lad' treatment only to fuck off to Spurs during what must basically now be the most baron spell in their own history, where he won't even be one of the first names on the team sheet. Incredible stuff.

'Getting them' only ever means they have digs at Liverpool/are nasty shithouses on the pitch.

Fact is they simply haven't agreed a fixed price deal. The quotes from Baxendale's letter don't say this and this is where the story has come from.
Craig, can you post the letter or provide a link to it? I haven't followed this closely enough to know the reference you make, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Thanks, mate.

Richie is obviously no more than an average footballer, he excels in snideness and being an utter dickhead, but football wise he’s just average. That said, he did actually keep Everton up by putting in a few good performances when they needed it, despite the fact he should have been banned for them games. My question is tho, who keeps Everton up next season?

Trying to do the maths on this.

If this brings them within the profit sustainability rules for the period 2018-2022- what if any breathing room does it give them for the rest of the summer?

Still can't see them making shed loads of money but they have dumped a fair few big contracts this summer

Richarlison gone for £50m plus add ons (minus Watford sell on fees…), so a net loss on what they paid?

The natives are restless thinking they’ve been diddled, Joe Anderson is rising from his slumber - he slides open the draw to his bureau, folds out the mahogany desk and dips his quill in the ink…

I think they’ve done well to get £50m + for a fella who barely gets double figures but all about perspective I guess.

They massively overpaid for him in the first place.  He was worth around £25m.  If they hadn't of got into a bidding war with themselves and paid that £25m they would of doubled their money and more, then they wouldn't be moaning about it.  He's about as average as it gets, I genuinely don't think he'd get on our bench, certainly won't improve Spurs.

It's a lot of money but I don't think its insane. Richarlison's coming into his peak years, he has a decent scoring record in this league with a mediocre team, a far better scoring record internationally and he can play as a wide forward or a false nine. Spurs fans are already turning up on GoT to taunt the blues too, which is hilarious.

On the surface looks like they’ve done well to get Spurs to stump up that mad fee for him.

But considering they paid close on 50 mill for him, they have gained very little. He helped them win nothing, he couldn’t even help them get anywhere near Europe, his one contribution was helping them not get relegated when they shouldn’t have been near that sort of mess in the first place. Also, they have to give Watford a couple mill of this fee too.

A pretty disastrous signing, but I suppose as they didn’t lose money in the transfer fee (so long as they get the add-ons)  so there's that ::)

I agree - a very Conte type player. Spurs become an even bigger team of diving, timewasting shithouses. Quite the achievment.

He’s a much, much better player than many people on here are giving him credit for.

For 50M he’s a reasonable deal for Spurs but probably the top end of what Everton could expect. It seems low to them because they massively over paid for him in the 1st place.

Think Richarlison adds depth for Spurs but is probably a rotation option in the 1st instance. To compete in PL and CL I think Conte knows you need at least 4 good forward options. Richarlison has been bought to add better depth to Spurs main 3 forward players.

Like I said I think Richarlison is one of the better players outside the traditional top 6. I’d put him in a similar bracket to the likes of Rahpinha and Bowen. We don’t like him because of his snide antics. But in terms of ability and deliverables he’s probably good enough to be around the 1st team of team with genuine Top4 aspirations.
I think Jookie might just be the best fisherman on this thread.

Surely not the badge-kisser!  He loved the club and the fans so much.

As sulky as he is Everton will miss him as he gave their attack a bit of spark and got the crowd riled up.  Everton barely stayed up and are now without their top scorer.  It puts a lot of pressure on the clothes horse to re-find the form of 2020 - form he's never shown before or since - as it's hard to see where else they get any goals from.

Anyways Spurs should just drag it out until later on, then offer 30 million.

Nah, they win (it's all relative I guess) more with him in the side.  He's a decent player player surrounded by shite, there's a reason only Spurs put in a bid.  He wouldn't get close to our side, I'm not that sure he'd get in Spurs best XI either.

Unless they buy a goalscorer this is the year the turd flushes.

Yeah I wonder also how they will react to his shithouse antics, when he does a nasty challenge on DCL one minute , kicking out at him whilst on the floor , then next minute he is diving at the slightest contact.
Will the be like ‘ Ahhh, we taught him well’?
