Wow! Is there a live stream anywhere (I know it’ll be lunch!).

The guy at the other end was 81* when Stokes came in. He’s now 118*.

Stokes has 147. :D

Yeah, every county game is on YouTube, just search for the team you want to watch and it should come up.

Here is the Durham coverage;

Shame Bedingham won't be able to play for England until 2024 because he'd be squarely in line for a gig. You always have to qualify numbers with the standard of bowlers he faces regularly but he averages over 50 with Chester Le Street as his home ground.

Finished the day on 288-3. Yaaarksher may regret putting Lancs into bat.

Jennings with his second century in two games after missing the opening match of the season.

I only cast a cursory glance over it now and then but it seems like players are making quite big scores this season so far. so hopefully england will have players coming into the first test in some decent form and with batting confidence.

and will inevitably still end up 30odd for 4.

Nice position to push on in the morning.  Hopefully Jennings can get a double ton and Lancs 500 by tea to give them a tricky last session.

Lancs 412/3 at Lunch. :D

Scored 400 for the loss of one wicket since the 2nd wicket fell.

200 for Jennings.

Couldn’t tell you. Apparently it’s our highest score against you though and I think maybe the highest individual score too which is surprising. Don’t know if that’s modern era or just all time county championship.

Pretty sure I went to watch a game at Old Trafford in the mid 90s where you won and someone (Moxon I think) scored a double ton in the first innings. Thankfully I went on day 2 or 3 and saw Crawley score a ton for Lancs instead. :D

Actually just looked it up and neither of these things happened! But you did score over 500 and then make us follow on. And Crawley got 83. Close enough.

Bet it was a draw.

I saw Clive Lloyd score a century before lunch at Headingley in the Roses match. Must have been mid to late 1970s I guess. He hit a steepling six right over our heads. I still don't think I've ever seen a ball go higher.

671 runs, 7 different 50s, and Hashim Amal made 12.

Lancs score is only the 4th highest of these round of fixtures! Is it a batsman’s paradise out there?

Tense end to the Rose match! Root got a century on the first innings but was cleaned up by Anderson for 4 in the follow-on. Harry Brook still at the wicket though. That's the one the Lankies need.

He seems highly rated Yorky?

Ended as a draw, and you only picked up one point fewer. Felt like Lancs were the ones pressing for the win most of the 4 days.

If Lancs don’t win the Blast with the team they’re going to field every game it’ll be an abject failure. You’re talking Buttler, David, Livingstone, Salt and Parkinson with boys like Vilas and Jennings for support.

Cracking win for Lancs on the last day. Chased down 320 to beat Warwickshire by 4 wickets having been 90 off for 4. Luke Wells with a Bairstow-esque 175*.

Absolutely brilliant win and great knock by Wells.  Keeps Lancs in the hunt and on the coat tails of Surrey and Hampshire.

Been a good 1st few months of the season for Lancs. Top of the North division of the Blast and 3rd in  championship. Probably different to the smaller counties they can carry players specifically for T20 versus 4 day cricket. Wells, Bohannon, Jones, Bailey, Balderson are regular starters for 4 day team and don’t get a sniff in T20 selection. Conversely Hartley, Gleeson, Hurt, David & to some extent Luke Wood are all part of the T20 squad but not regular starters in 4 day team.
I think Jookie might just be the best fisherman on this thread.

Shame they don't give a fuck about this competition as finals day takes all the england players away

Terrible planning that. If Lancs get there they’ll probably get twatted seeing as they have the most players in the England squad. Or maybe it’ll come down to who has the best overseas players.

Lancashire aren’t really losing 5 players for the T20 QF since Buttler never plays. It’s really 3.5 players -Salt, Gleeson, Parkinson and 0.5 Livingstone.

That’s still hugely significant.

No county has the strength in depth to replace 3 or 4 key players. Lancashire will be massively under strength for a key domestic fixture.

The Buttler point kind of shows what a scheduling shit show it is. As the leading player on T20 cricket, he should be able to find the time amongst his rest etc, to play for his team in the domestic cup, for early rounds and the finals day.

None of the players will be available for the quarter final either.

ECB are prioritising England and The Hundred over county cricket.

Biggest knock on effect is the KO T20 domestic competition has gone from a period when England players were made available to play and make it a true spectacle and crown in the domestic season, to a de-prioritised competition to will amount to a KO stage shorn of a fair few of the domestic stars.

Shocking from the ECB.  Lancs are selling out T20 games but nobody has any interest on The Hundred.  There is already a winning format and depriving county teams of star players at a critical time because of ridiculous scheduling is a real case of shooting in the foot.

Oh, I don't know. Yaaarksher cricket has always been a hotbed of Tory support. Wasn't Darren Gough a huge Tory that was being talked about as a Tory Parliamentary candidate? Truman was a huge Tory, and Boycott.

But Surrey getting beat is always good.

BTW, with Birmingham also losing (they got mullered by Hants), that's the two tems that topped their respective T20 tables out of the comp without reaching the finals day.

Just hope Lancs hold it together tonight, against an Ethics who've been the form side in the latter stages of the T20 league.

Rumours that ECB may allow some of Lancs England players to play in T20 QF tonight.

Rumour is Salt might be allowed to play and potentially Gleeson/Parkinson.

Hope it’s true. Surrey were really hampered by losing 4 players this week who have played consistently in their T20 team in the group stage
