So those Chelsea rumours had some merit then. It's either them or PSG, can't see him anywhere else. Milan maybe?
Ah yeah had forgot the Chelsea stuff. Also with no Raphina they'll be looking for a starter, feels like a terrible match with Tuchel though

PSG isn't big enough for him and Messi.

Doubt they'll care. Think of the press Qatar would get if their club was the one that brought Messi and Ronaldo together. Not to mention Mbappe when he's not too busy being manager and sporting director, and Neymar if his ego lets him stay

Defo be Chelsea to add to their big name flops over the years, the new guy seems desperate to land a name. Think PSG seem to have learned some big lessons in the last year or so going after has beens so they'll avoid it.

Their Ronaldo transfer was a massive mistake, an was rightly called out on here straight away. Yes, he scores goals, but he hinders their team as a unit. Mind you, they seemed to have no cohesive plan around how to progress, so I suppose bringing back the show pony helped paper over the cracks for a short time. They fell for it big-time too.

They saw it as a statement. I saw it as definitive proof of their desperation and their continuing decline.

So their hero who apparently returned "home" has now asked to leave. Another blow for the biggest club in the world! :lmao

That's quite delicious. I mean, I'd rather he stayed because he's a problem for them and it solves the headache Ten Hag would have had in trying to make Man Utd better whilst dealing with Ronaldo's ego. But it's still funny that the hero returning home back to the club he loves last summer wants to leave after a year because he thinks he's better than them.

I hope he stays to be honest. Loads of them already don't like him and it'll only become more toxic when they start struggling in the league and hopefully go out of the cups. He scored more goals than anyone did for them the year before when they finished about 4 places better off and got to a European final.

I think the damage has already been done. They thought he was a finishing piece who'd get them over the line and it's backfired massively because his first year was always going to be their chance to win something in their minds. It's like they didn't calculate a fluky 2nd placed finish behind closed doors wasn't going to propel them to anything better. I think he'll leave next season when his contract is up having achieved nothing since going back.

Yeah, as stupid as I thought they were to bring him in, Rashford has declined massively since that back injury and Greenwood presumably won't play for them this season, without him they don't really have goals anywhere any more, and seem to be having trouble recruiting them.

Hilarious how their big hero coming "home" totally backfired on them. Was suppose to be the final piece to push them towards big silverware after finishing 2nd and all that. The 21/22 season is a complete disaster and then he leaves after just one season. Amazing.

It would be even funnier if no one paid for him and he was forced to stay at United, especially as he wouldn't fit in with their style of play.

Think about it. Where do clapped out Untied players got to retire?
Everton are also flush with more cash form Moshiri, it’s only those pesky Premier league sneaky 6 who are stopping them spending it.

This is actually bad news as it will improve them.

Whilst I agree as a team they may, they are seriously lacking goal scorers, and the one thing he did for them at least last season was stick the ball in the back of the net 24 times.

If he does go it's another position they need to spend big on and they won't be getting a fee for him.

To be fair the guy does have a point from a logic point of view. United have first hand experience how handing out big wages can destroy a club. It is the very cause of the mess they are currently in because they can’t get rid of all those failed players they signed on ridiculous contracts.

Us on the other hand, we are giving a deserved contract to one of the world’s best players, not the like of Rashford, J Linz, Harry Maguire, Juan Mata, Phil Jones etc etc etc (the list is pretty long obviously).

Salah has proved his worth over 5 seasons. They gave the same salary to Sancho before he’d even trained with them.
