I love Keita, I think he is a talented footballer

BUT his body can not cope with the intensity of a Klopp team, simple as. Need to keep him as its too late to ship him out and get two midfielders in imo

I just dont see him being here next season though

And not replace him? No, that’s not possible, of course not. But it’s not the plan. We are not dumb that we think a player can go and we don’t replace him. No, there’s no chance. So, Naby will not go but if he would – what he will not do – there must be a replacement, of course.

It's fantasy. Just because you want him to go doesn't mean it'll happen. He's got a knock between Friday and today. It happens.

I don't know if I'm disappointed that he is injured because he can't play tonight or because it means we wont be selling him and potentially replacing him with a bit of durability?

Both, I think.

We don't take chances with any of our players either. No point 'testing his resolve' because we know it's not worth it.

It might be one of those convenient injuries that precedes a transfer out of a club.

Feel exactly the same. A real shame, there’s a player in there, it just won’t be for us at this level.

I've said it before just let him see out his contract which ends next summer.  We won;t get much for him and when he can play he's decent.

My username on here was King.Keita at one point, such was the excitement to see him play for us having seen him boss it at Leipzig. But his days here are numbered, just need to cut our losses and ship him off to whoever is brave enough to take him.

Gets an illness in the summer, trains all week and then come match day is injured.

Absolutely nuts if we offer this guy a new contract. Such a fair weather player.

I’d say at this point it’s more likely there’s a deal rumbling behind the scenes and Klopp is just saying he’s out. Dunno, time will tell I guess.

Yea, or he and his agent are saying renew him or sell him but he won't be risking an in game injury preventing his next career move (inc an extension here) until then

He’s had a great game so far.

Thought he was pretty invisible myself.

Really thought after last season where he looked physically better that he would continue and improve with more games this season. I am a huge fan of Naby and his skillset, but right now starting to struggle to see much of a future here for him. Maybe it is a some say, he might just not be made for a Klopp team who plays and trains with so much intensity. On his day his all out play is a joy, its just that he always gets some niggle and its all back to start again.

He’s our third best midfielder regardless which is pretty ironic when he’s the one more than a few seem adamant in wanting out.

This is meant to be him at his peak. Being a squad player at this age and with our situation is not good enough.

If he will be sold, we need a replacement.

replacement would actually mean he gets on the pitch. We need someone who actually plays.

He was injured, again.

The midfield and squad are riddled with players who are not reliable and to be honest I am questioning whether the likes of Milner, Gomez etc should have been offered a new contract.
