great news for Glasgow Rangers this, leipzig went strong for this game, and as they want to get that 4th place without relying on Europa. Been a tough game for them.

And Rangers with a day extra rest too.

A welcome win for Gladbach at least, I hope their luck changes for the better now.

I see Thomas Muller has signed a new contract at Bayern. If they're tying down the likes of Neuer and Kimmich aswell, I could see Lewandowski leaving.

I doubt HSV ever anticipated they'd be in Bundesliga 2 for this long. Looks like at least one of Werder/Schalke should be back up

4 wins on the bounce has them provisionally in 2nd, win their final match and they’ll have a promotion play-off spot at minimum. Absolutely bizarre season with a DFB Pokal Semi Final appearance included.

Bundesliga 2 is beyond mad with this promotion race  ;D

Freiburg been shat on big time today by the officials  :no What looked a blatant penalty ignored, and then a goal dissalowed for a handball which was a very harsh call. And now losing 2-0  :wanker

Adeyemi from Salzburg to replace Haaland by the sound of it.

This is kind of everything wrong with Dortmund in a nut shell. Haaland is clearly an outlier but the normal plan of getting someone that "could" become "world class" to just sell explains why Dortmund don't really go anywhere. I know that they've tried to have a more blended plan in the past mixing youth and experience that didn't go well but there's got to be a better plan than this. £30-40m for just potential is just not really great business unless he's so good that you have to sell him soon thereafter.

The Ukraine YNWA message is just a limited edition one.

But it’s a wonderful thing to do from Mainz.  10 euros from every one sold goes the Better World foundation in aid of Ukraine.

Moussa Niakhaté has been wearing his Peace For All armband for weeks now. He’s a class act, wonderful captain and a very good player.

A big time end of an era in Bundesliga today, Michael Zorc’s last game with Borussia Dortmund, after 44 year as a one club man as player and sporting director, he is retiring.

Yeah, Susi was a good player and a good addition to BVB‘s administrative staff. Bit early for retirement though, isn’t it?

Imagine a few years ago being told of the two Berlin clubs, Union would be in the EL and Hertha would end up in a relegation playoff on the final day

Such terrible management from Hertha.

Incredible scenes at Stuttgart today.  Could be a huge saving moment given that the playoff could be against HSV.  Sure, the Bundesliga 2 is filled with underachieving big clubs, but you still wouldn't necessarily want to play them in a relegation playoff.

Schalke are up and Werder will be favorite too.  Could see some of the big former Bundesliga giants all come back.  Should make for some even more fun competition for the European spots in the coming seasons (assuming the big clubs don't mismanage themselves again, which is of course a risk).

Superb stuff from Werder Bremen and Schalke, no staying dowing in 2. Bundesliga for either of them. Great to see them both back in Bundesliga, hopefully they have got their shit together  ;D

Relegation playoff matchup is quite something - Hertha BSC vs HSV.

Werder and Schalke did well not to repeat HSV's predicament. That relegation playoff is massive. At the bottom of the table, Ingolstadt have had a few mad seasons recently and are down again. Plus we have the possibility of FCK back in Bundesliga 2 (although they've sacked their manager pre-playoff).  The Bundesliga is setting up to be highly competitive next season.

Adi Hütter will be leaving Mönchengladbach after just one season, while his former club are playing in the Europa League final on Wednesday. I'd just like to point out, that I said a year ago it was a silly move to leave Frankfurt for Mönchengladbach...

It’d be amazing really if HSV do beat Hertha, them and Bremen back up together! That rivalry back in Buli would be great.

The goal that sealed the deal as 2. Buli champions for Schalke today was special by the way, for anyone who’s not seen!

I think I said the the complete opposite, don’t I look like a genius now. :duh

Gladbach are in a real interesting spot. They decided to run it back a few times by keeping a hold of all their key players and not cashing in on any of them when they were at their peak value. Now they’re losing Ginter on a free, Zakaria went for peanuts, Plea/Bensabaini/Hofmann/Embolo with 12 months left, Elvedi and Neuhaus entering into the final 24 months of their deal. Plenty of work for them to do over the summer and lots of key decisions to be made.

Looks like Niko Kovac is going to be Wolfsburg’s new head coach.

Intesting to see how he does, I quite like Kovac, thought the abuse he got from Bayern’s entitled fan base was ridiculous.

Maybe this is a job more suited to him, same as Frankfurt was, where he did so well.

yep!

Away goals have played a big part recently too, when FC Union got promoted in 2019 it was on away goals, I think in 2020 too it was a factor.
