FILTH!
No mention of the nice gesture from Thiago to give his jacket to the shivering little girlhttps://www.thisisanfield.com/2022/11/thiagos-gesture-nunez-laps-it-up-4-things-fans-are-talking-about-after-liverpool-2-0-napoli/
Who was the poster that asked a few weeks back how people kept falling for the Thiago turn? Brilliant poster, that one.
They keep falling for it because he glances to see if it's on before trying it. His speed of execution and spatial awareness are incredible.
after getting outclassed by Bayern one of the Chelsea midfielders - can't remember who - said something like "I couldn't get anywhere near Thiago".
He's rapid mentally and he's very efficient with his touches. Despite him not being fast, he also has that burst of acceleration and agility that give him time to make a pass and also press when we lose the ball high up the field. If we could get a younger, less injury-prone version of Thiago, we'd be set for years.
Those shouts at half time to take him off… some people are watching a different sport.
However if something serious happens to them I will eat my own cock.
If anyone is going to put a few fingers deep into my arse it's going to be me.
Don’t think it’s a stretch to say he was a one man midfield out there for large parts of the game, fantastic performance.
It was one poster wasn't it? And he is a closet Leicester fan.
Below his standards, like everyone else today, but he and Trent stood out. Good game from Thiago.
Below his standards? He was a one man midfield defending and attacking. How high can he go?
He's done better in previous games, mate. He was shining today because almost everyone else was crap, and Thiago had to mop after them. But he gave the ball away in dangerous situations a couple of times, mishit passes that he'd normally do with ease, etc. I did't say he was bad, not at all, be he could do better.
I doubt many other players could have played as well in that midfield tonight.
Yeah good point. MattD or some such. He made multiple posts about it and a whole bunch of people disagreed so I thought it was more.
His defensive contribution is really underrated. I would like to see his stats today.
Four tackles and three interceptions, same as Trent. Problem with the tackling stat is it only counts tackles ‘won’ which means the team regaining possession. He ‘won’ lots of other tackles where the ball went out for a throw in etc but it’s not counted.
MoTm for me, pity he's not 5 years younger, could have saved millions.
