there's plenty of pubs between there and the strand, you'll have no trouble getting in somewhere round there.

I ended up going down the walkabout tonight, was crammed when got there, waited for a few mates to turn up, was a massive queue, so we ended up walking round the block trying to find another place, ended up in the "cheshire cat", was alright like, about 40/5 people watching, a few avid fans.

Shame about the result.

Keep your head up lads!!

Was in the hayfiel last night. About 10 of us making noise and the others watching in silence. A couple of fights broke out, one including my mate but was alright in the end. We had a a bit of banter early on but gota bit ugly. Ah well. Ill be there every game next year anyway

Kind of agree with you, even if I'm a London red. Thought the place could and should've been a lot livelier - too many tourists, and probably half the crowd there, out of about 600 people, didn't seem to know the words to anything apart from YNWA. Like trying to get a song going at a wake half the time.

Still, I don't wanna reopen the OOT debate, but we win together and lose together mate. And if you can't take that in London then you're best off heading back home for the match.

I'm sure among those 'glory hunting reds' there were a lot of genuine London Reds that you have tarred with the 'glory hunting' brush. Did you expect a Scouse pub in the middle of London?

The Royal George at Euston was crap:

No beer glasses, hopeless service, not enough staff on, four staff trying to look after three bars and a full house.

Good point, but it was pretty poor in there. Think for next season it'd be good to nail a decent, mid-sized pub where it's just a hardcore of fans and make it a regular fixture. I'd still say 60-70 per cent of the crowd in the Walkabout last night have never been to Anfield and never will.

Walkabout served its purpose last night, lots of big screens, lots of beer, and we had a decent singsong, even if only about a third joined in (we even got one airing of PST ffs so couldnt have been that bad...even if only about 5 people sang it all the way through!).

The only downside for me was that fu*king annoying bog-eyed aussie girl who kept nicking our European Cup!!!

Yea, we were down by the entrance too, with the giant inflatable "6" (i told my mate those things would be a bad fu*king omen!). Was a good group down that end, i enjoyed the night (bar the result of course). The lads complaining were obviously at the wrong end of the place! Can you hear the far end sing, noooo, noooo!

Going to bump this for the new season.

Would be great to have a few pubs in London that you can rely on some Reds being in for most games. For North London, The Kings Head on Essex Road was pretty good for the 2nd leg of the Semi last year - the landlord's missus is a Red from what I remember. Anyone up for the Villa game?

I usually just nip into The Woodman for games so everyone can gawp at the funny northerner.

Are there actually any pubs in Pinner that have sky sports?

Think the BRB in Pinner has SS but not sure if it's LFC friendly, usually looks to be full of Chelsea etc

Decent crowd in there yesterday, not much singing until the 2nd goal though.

A heads up for anyone that goes there, the landlord/lady have bought a place down by Old Street tube and will be moving there mid-September. Can't remember the name of the place (the something Star) but she was saying it's bigger and has pool tables as well as two big screens.

Gethin, I was in there for the 2nd leg of the semi too, so will probably recognise you next time. Was out of town for the Villa game, but does the King's Head still look the likeliest place for games this season? Beer's not bad too…

I was there for the villa game as well, was a good crowd actually, a lot better than normal, probably because it was on setanta. Good to hear a bit of singing etc, good stuff.

The Claddagh Ring, Hendon -  - close to Middlesex Uni and Hendon Town Hall and Library

its a bit of a walk from Hendon central and or Hendon Station(thameslink) - 10-15 mins
buses 183 - 326 - 143 (get off at Hendon Town Hall/Middlesex Uni)

show games on either setanta ireland[ROI version] or arabic [art]
ALWAYS show LFC games - and they are able to show more than one game at a time - as have numerous plasmas and 2 BIG screens

really nice pub - if not a little expensive

I was in London at the weekend and watched the Villa V LFC game in a place called...BONDS....in Dering St, off New Bond St just round the corner from Bond St tube Station on Oxford St.

Great food
Waitress/waiter service(no queuing at the bar!)
Plenty of well placed screens too.
Plenty of reds in there.

Pub on the opposite corner was showing the game too but can't remember the Name of it.

Is that the one right by Clapham Common tube? Watched us beat United at Old Trafford for the 3rd time there on a dodgy Greek/Arabic feed. Normally quite a few reds in there
