My stream died just as he took the shot and never came back up. Obviously he buried it because he's clinical so why are people in the post-match thread saying we lost?

Bit confused. Still, 1-1 feels like a loss.

All these players play for Liverpool why does it seem like people are revelling in individual players misfortunes just to push an agenda?

No agenda at all. Love Jota and think he's one of the best strikers in the league.

All those posters are ardent Nunez supporters in the other thread lol. You can go back in all the Jota Diaz Gakpo threads and find these kinds of posts. It's their way to get back at people who is criticising Nunez in his thread.

It's less people critizing Núñez and more people misunderstanding the nature of finishing ability that annoys me to be honest.

Brilliant player who we've missed but he can miss chances like all forwards.  Maybe it would help our forwards if we weren't always chasing the game.

You can support them all. Jota has been used as a stick to beat Nunez quite often though. Both great players in my opinion.

His absence is one of the key reasons we will probably fall short of the title, he can score scrappy goals and doesn’t need to be perfect to hit the net

Well it's a goal from open play. Goalkeeping howler but finally we get a bit of luck. He's was well off the pace mostly as expected but hopefully closer now.

He scores a lot of awful goals because he tends to hit the target. You have to buy a ticket to win the lottery.

Odd I'd mostly associate him with scoring good goals. We've had a shit ton of shots on target lately but no goalkeeper errors from any

But Nunez doesn't because he hits the keeper or the post too often?

Living example of how goals change opinions because he was pretty shit to average today but did well/got a bit of luck for one to go in.  Glad to see that as I think the rust is starting to wear off.

He strikes the ball well and he hits the target more than our other attackers.

More probability of a goalie spilling it.

He has a goal or assist every 67 minutes in the league this season. Also the best shot to goal conversion of our strikers apart from Origi as long as that metric has been recorded.

What he has that others don't is uncoachable. It's in that microsecond as you hit the ball. He just detects where, and how it needs to be hit as he's swinging his foot. Pure finisher.
I think the same, can't stand him, but if you could have a £1million pound cheque or steve bruces head hollowed out and filled with pound coins which would you have?

Glad he got his goal before he went off. A few games without a goal can become a drought with him, but once he gets one he normally gets on a roll. Need more goals from him in the rest of the games.

Thankfully the VAR killjoys didn't overturn it.

Wasn't it his run that got the foul which Trent smashed in? Yes he was rusty but it was great to see him break lines multiple times.

If he could pass he'd be unplayable :D

VAR tried it's best though.

The freeze frame for the Gakpo pass was miles after he had played the ball.
