No the tribunal decides. But its' not going to be more than the 8 mill we had to pay for Ings.

He's already signed for us.

Can Chelsea up their price now he's won this?  Or do the tribunal decide regardless?
Tribunal decides, but Chelsea can present their case, I think?

Didn't have the best game today but you can see the talent is there.  Needs to get a better rhythm going in his play, sometimes he's too rushed when dribbling and loses control but other times he's great at taking the ball down and calmly laying it off.

Solanke will go up against Origi and to a lesser extent Woodburn, competition will hopefully bring the best out of them all.

He's certainly different to anything else weve got, looks a bigger beast than Origi and at times we need that physicality in the final third.

No question U20 football is far away from putting yourself into the Premiership every week but hes got to prove Chelsea wrong for not fighting to keep him there, for his own career and our benefit for showing faith in him.

I think hes got enough about him to be a surprise package next season.

Chelsea did fight to keep him, he just turned down their contract.

What a small time club Chelsea are, congratulating their under 20 England players, but making no mention of Dominic. It really does sum up the lack of class this club have.

He had an off game - but in the last 25-30 minutes had some great hold up play and hustle.

Had a free shot at the penalty area - but Calvert-Lewin refused to look up and pass.  Then again on a break Calvert-Lewin refused to pass to an open Ojo.

Calvert-Lewin refuses to ever look up when he's got the ball. So many occasions during the tournament where people were in good positions and he refused to look up and use them.

Yup. As the BBC wrote on their live page,

"No pressure Dominic lad, but other winners of that award include Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi, Luis Figo, Sergio Aguero and Paul Pogba."
I expect Chelsea to ask a much higher figure at the tribunal.

Good luck to them if they do try and ask for more but they never played him, sent him out on loan for the year and then barely played him when he got back. Not sure how they'd get more. Burnley got 8m for Ings and he played in the Championship & Premier League, no chance they get more than 4m for Solanke.

I don't think completely freezing him out of the first team and the u23's on the turn of the year is fighting very hard.

Well done to him anyway, thought he looked a bit tired in the final but prior to that he looked a class above everyone. On a side note echo what others have said about Calvert-Lewin, I don't think he's impressed me once in this tournament or even for Everton; he's sluggish, poor vision, not a particularly good striker of the ball or dribbler and quite selfish. Lookman on the other hand looks really good. Solanke could have been top scorer as well this tournament had his strike partner actually used him more.

Actually ended up watching the full game just to get an idea of his game, was very impressed. He seemed so much more,  professional would probably be the word, than the other players. That said, the England defence were a shambles, and the less said about the number 16 striker the better.

Surprised Chelsea couldn't find any games for him to feature in, honestly reminded me of Diego Costa right diwn to their running style and physique.

On another note, what is with the hyphenated surnames?
Half the players on the England team seem to have hyphenated names.

Being able to add to the squad with quality youngsters is exactly what we should be doing, targeting players earlier in their development. If Solanke develops properly then he is the kind of player we would struggle to sign in his mid twenties.

Get the feeling that Solanke is a replacement for Ings. So we're looking at Firmino, Sturridge, Origi and Solanke to lead the line for us next season.

Wouldn't mind Solanke starting for us in the league, ahead of Origi.

Origi is so underrated on here. They kid scores/assists every 180 minutes. Never is a guarenteed starter, switches between the left and CF. He's a good prospect, and Solanke will have to work hard to earn his spot. Delighted to have Solanke, seems a good lad and a good talent.

I love Origi, but his development seems to have stalled a bit. He was an absolute monster the season before this one but didn't hit those heights again the past season.

Think him and Solanke are at similar levels and will compete for the same spot.

The lad looks decent. Would be hilarious if he became a massive star for us and scored against Chelsea next season. If's good enough he's old enough that's the managers philosophy and i applaud that.
