Anyone who typed or said the word "Quadruple" this season
should have their gonads punched.

Especially Danny Murphy.
This "quadruple" was only ever a media construction. An utterly ridiculous one at that. 'The Quad' never entered my mind. It was just media nonsense. Basically, in this country they love setting people up to fail, so they can then drone on endlessly a out 'how it fell apart'.  ::)

For me, and I think most of us, a top four place and a cup was about the most I expected this season. Yes, as the season panned out maybe a bit more seemed possible, but overall I'd say we've achieved par for the course.

Completely agree with this. It’s a simple situation. The one man who binds the club together, including players and backroom staff, announces his imminent departure. The simple laws of human relationships dictate that the influence he has on everything starts to wane from that point onwards. He’s run out of steam, he’s no longer the owner of the plan. Brilliant though he is (we need to keep remembering the 4-3 vs Barcelona during times like this), the guy has run out of emotional energy and is now lacking buy-in from his players unless he gives them half time rollickings.

As for Slott. I know it is my duty to support the club passionately and wholeheartedly whatever the circumstances and I’ll continue to do that, but within the four walls of this forum I’m pretty sure he’s here because no bigger name wanted to inherit the very large shoes that Klopp is leaving behind. It’s too much of a risk for the already established managerial elite. In this specific scenario their reputation can only be diminished by the move (if it goes wrong) or maintained (if it goes well). Only someone who is in their development stage will see the LFC job as a sensible opportunity right now. Good luck to him but unless he can win over some rather fatigued players, most of who only moved here cos of Klopp, I fear it won’t end well. I suspect a lot of the older bigger name transfers of recent years will move on or disappear down the pecking order as Slott focuses on getting the youngsters to buy in to him. I think next years line up will look more like our injury hit League Cup win than the sides we played against Palace and West Ham.

Like who exactly??

Hasn't Salah always this side to him? He's been subbed in games in his so called peak with his lip on.

He has, but we'd usually win the game and Klopp would laugh it off so it was never a big deal. In his 7 years here Salah has rarely been taken off when we need a goal until recently (he'd come off to save his legs with the game won). He's also rarely ever been benched unless he was rested.

Salah's strops will be a sideshow Slot can do without.

We were upper, on reflection maybe solid wasn’t a true reflection, but we got a few going. To be honest spent a lot of the time calling cockneys dickheads. We still all sign on apparently and, it’s never our fault. Classy eh.

I wouldn’t tar all WHU fans with the same brush, but they really do have some thick c*nts following them, and I mean middle aged blokes with the IQ of a scone, kind of thick.
They all seem to think they’re Ray Winston, but are more like Ray Von, to be perfectly honest.
Lol ;D

Remember fun is the key, but keep seated at all times, or you may die. Shabba!

The official line is:

Taylor saw it as a foul (it wasn’t) and played the advantage. Then, when he saw the keeper needed treatment (he didn’t), he brought an end to the advantage so that the physio could come on. And apparently a dropped ball to the keeper was then the correct thing to do after that.

I mean, it’s clearly a load of shite, but that’s what we have to swallow (the metaphorical shite, that is, not literal shite)
It wouldn’t be a Liverpool game without a bit of gaslighting from the officials.
It’s enough to affect a persons mental health I’m stepping away from being so emotionally invested in the game as it’s just too much now, it’s actually insane what they are doing and the explanations they are giving

When Murphy and Merson tipped us for the league it was over.

One point needed from three games is all that is needed as there is a 20-goal GD on Villa. Even we would be hard pressed to fuck that up.

Who cares about any of this? An angry exchange between a player and manager at a critical moment is nothing to get het up about. Happens all the time, it's jusrt the media that want a big song and dance about it, because this is how they make a living, as gossip mongerers.

Ignore it all I say.

A very tetchy Sunak being interviewed by Trevor Phillips on Sky News now.

Tetchy interviews are terrible for politicians.
