And spurs

The stewards at Spurs last season were proper twats. The lot of them.

Well, they did.  Not much I can say other than from where we were sat we had a perfect view of the entire lower section being made to sit.

We sat down for about 5 minutes while they were chucking a few lads out but then we stood up for the rest of the time.

Choices were sit down for a bit until the Head Steward (twat in a suit) went away or face getting chucked out.
As BHB points out elsewhere we "caved" in  ;)

2nd half Head Steward was nowhere to be seen until the 2nd goal and they carted a lad from Row 1 away.

I personally would prefer to sit down for 5 mins and let the stewards have their power trip than be stuck outside listening to the match . FACT

It was a decent atmosphere up at the back yesterday.
We don't carry bottles got a couple of  good airings as well as the others mentioned, although it did seem to die off a bit halfway through each time.
On the point of the stewards though, seen some lad walking down to the concourse in front of us get threw out seemingly at random, if it was for saying something to them it couldn't have been anything worse than what a lot of others had said in the first half.

We were towards the back, row 38, an stood up throughout. Didn't even see a steward all game, they must have all been down the front being arseholes!!

Thought it was some boss noise like. Although that midfield song does me head in if I'm honest...

As for the empty seats, was there 2 seats empty either side of the aisles? Didn't so us any harm like, but rather than have a block of empty seats at the back they seem to have tried to dot the seats around our end. Fuckin petty anyway, reducing an allocation.

Some in the lower tier sat down, yes, but there were several in front of us who stood for the whole game too. Apart from one 5 min spell early on, as Paul said, when it made sense to co-operate rather than get thrown out, we stood. When the stewards walked up and down telling us to sit down, I just sat on my seat back for a few minutes then stood up again, but a lot in our block stood throughout. It was easier for us as we were in row 15 like Tommy - they were harder on those right at the front.
We are a team of one half.

Not many were.  I was at the game and can tell you that the entire lower part of our fans were made to sit and sit they did.  Strangely, they left our much, much larger upper tier standing and never said a word!  We were right on the front of one of them entrance/exit things and so could viddy the whole thing from the comfort of our seats.  Ahhhh!

i was by them fans aswel mate n found meself screamin 2 stand up, stupid stewards. atmosphere wasnt as good as villa but that mite be becos of the stewardin itself

Bit of luck of the draw about things yesterday - if you'd got a ticket in the lower, the stewards were a bunch of tossers by all accounts. We were generally ok in the upper bit.

Dunno if they'd been told to make us naughty scousers sit down or what, but if the whole away end is stood up then what do you have to gain by throwing a few lads out, other than some sort of fucking power trip??

btw i was the lad who got jumped on by 3 stewards when we scored our second goal. i done fuck all i was on row 1  what happend was when we scored the 2nd every one pushed forwardand i end up on by the pitch. so i just stood their for 2 secs and jumped up and down then the next minute I'm on the floor getting choked by 3 fat stewards. they took me towards the sunderland end the i said ay i have done nothing then he said shut up u scouse c*nt. in the end he give me to the bizzies and they just chucked me out. got back in like.

good day out and decent atmosphere for a mid day kick off.

lets keep this atmosphere up all season and maybe get liver bird upon are chest going.

i was in row 15 of lower stand, the last row, and was pissed to see the c*nt in the suit who was trying to get people to sit laughing and joking after he got the police to throw a red out

i was on row 15 aswell seat 181! The head steward was being an arse, there were two lads on the left of me and one kept turning round to look at the head steward becuase he was talking on the radio about the two lads saying he was going to get them thrown out.
i heard him say "what the fuck are you looking at me for", next minute the police were over havign ago aswell!
We all sta down once of twice but as soon as we got a chance everyone stood back up again and stayed standing...... better that than being thrown out of the game isnt it! we didnt get any hassle 2nd half though, they just give up i think!

Eyesight's perfect thanks and as the entire concourse was between my speck and the pitch, I had no option but to look through that section to see the game.  But thanks for the advice.

Hope this doesn't sound stupid but I just wanted to say thanks to the away support for their performances against Villa and Sunderland. I live in Ireland and only get to 4/5 home games a year and have never been to an away match. On TV when we're playing away you often forget we're the away team as you blow the home fans out of it everytime. When sitting in the pub watching I just feel so proud. Thanks guys.

Was in row 35 in the upper section, got to stand all game, but seems like i missed all the chucking out action, didnt see fuck all.
I wanna say credit to the bald guy in front of me, would have been in row 34 between 710-720 he was trying to get songs goin all game long, and never gave up, his voice got well faded towards the end though, well done mate. I was expecting alot more from sunderland fans to be honest but apart from an odd few "red and white..." chants nothing special, i hope we can keep this up?
