Bit of trouble on the way home, a few villa fans kicking off and attacking a bus, we were the next bus in line until the cops showed up.

And i personally love best midfield/defense in the world!

Exactly.

Top atmosphere in our end. Top day overall as well. Besides the few idiot brummies outside the away end after the match singing "Justice for the 39..."

Arseholes with no clue following like sheep...

How nice was it to have the footy back though!!? LOVE IT  ;D

Clueless is right. Plassy hools, obviously don't know about Juve's visit to Villa in the early 80s. Bit of a bloodbath if I remember rightly, stabbings etc. as the Italians battered the dopey sounding c*nts.

It was filmed from the front row of the doug ellis lower stand just before the freekick that gerrard scored from.

So it fully gives an idea for those that were not present at the game an idea what the atmosphere was like.

Not many were.  I was at the game and can tell you that the entire lower part of our fans were made to sit and sit they did.  Strangely, they left our much, much larger upper tier standing and never said a word!  We were right on the front of one of them entrance/exit things and so could viddy the whole thing from the comfort of our seats.  Ahhhh!

Could hear so many of our songs crystal clear on the box. All who went today and sang, you are a credit to the support. Even the booing from the home fans couldn't drown you out.

There looked a few empty seats on the telly at one point though and even think the commentor mentioned it. That because of Sunderland cutting down our allocation?

I noticed the same thing.

Credit to all who travelled. 'Rafa song' and 'Oh When The Reds' belted out loud and proud at the end of the 2nd half after Voronin had scored, that was class.

Even with that reduction in the allocation the away support still out shone the home support!

Stood up the whole game; only watched one lad get a quizzing for sitting in the aisle.

Er, no they didn't. We were right behind the goal and had to stand due to people in front of us standing for the whole game (not that I minded, prefer to). They made a few attempts to get people to sit down but then something would happen on the pitch, everyon would stand again and they just gave up. They threw a few out for it though, but only 2 or 3.

The reduced allocation meant (I was told) that the end two seats on each row in each block were not sold - hence the empty seats! However, they were all filled in reality so not sure where the empty seats were instead. People obviously stood there with their mates. One thing I noticed again though - and it was the same at Villa but not sure why it's started - was that the aisles were all full of people standing. Usually the least the stewards do is keep the aisles clear but not so far... although don't think it was as bad as Villa today.  :-\ Standard of stewarding going down??

Good atmosphere though - we all sung for virtually the whole match, which doesn't always happen when it's an early KO. :wellin

Stewards again were absolute gobshites today.

I was on the 2nd row of the upper, right next to the exit, right infront of them, and they never said a work all game to anyone in the upper section. Instead spending the whole first half harrassing the lower section. I seen 3 lads carted off and throw out. Scandalous.

They give us the same section, but the reduced allocation just means less tickets for that section. Unreal.

80-90% of our support stood all game, others in the lower caving into the stewards.

Superb support again though, same as Villa. A different world to last season's away support.

Reasonable atmosphere from our end today.

I was sat on row 9 in the lower bit. For some reason, the whole of row 8 was empty all the way across.

The gap between the 2 sections doesn't help, most of the time it felt that the people in the upper bit were just singing over us at the bottom

I knew I shouldn't be surprised as north east stewards always are, but the stewards today were fucking pricks. All game we just got constantly told to sit down. Double standards considering all their fans to our left we're standing all match. Half of them will have fucked off come December when their in the bottom 3.

Watch the no marks reduce our allocation even further next season

I take it you haven't been to Bolton then?

1. Bolton
2. Sunderland
3. Boro

But Bolton are in a different league to anyone else, absolute jobswerth c*nts, fucking hate that place and everything it stands for. If there is a god he'll make sure Bolton go down soon. Sooner they disappear off the face of the earth the better.

As for the lower sections today - as soon as a few start to sit, they win. Just fuck them off and stand. They'll soon get bored and leave you alone, just as in the second half, and why they never bothered with the upper section. They knew they'd have no chance.

Well, they did.  Not much I can say other than from where we were sat we had a perfect view of the entire lower section being made to sit.
