We were absolutely brilliant … once we have doused their early adrenaline driven fire

Ben White for £50M. Aresenal should have bought Nat Phillips instead …

Fabinho and Jota the pick of the bunch but that was an outstanding all around display

Same far to long since we've been to Anfield South, far to long. Cup Finals are a great childhood memory for me.

Same here. The first I'm old enough to remember vividly was when we won the League Cup in Wembley in 1995 as I was there with my Dad. A memory I'll never forget. And I remember where I was at every cup we've lifted since. Really buzzing for this.

Superb and fully deserved win, was that.

Matip looked off for the first time this season but we all have those days, but everyone on that pitch was superb this evening.

We're on the march with Jurgen's army
We're all going to Wembley!!
And we'll really shake 'em up, when we win the League Cup AGAIN
'Cos Liverpool are the greatest football team.

Let's get this in the cabinet again and see what else can go with it... Be good to go outright most winners again.

The most important people at Liverpool Football Club are the people who want to be here

Glad we won. Glad we could put on a decent attacking display without S+M. Glad we have a final to look forward too.

Tell you what I noticed though, having not payed that much attention to Arsenal recently - that Martinelli is a hell of a player. He has that lovely combination of skill, imagination and aggression, and I definitely wouldn't mind him rocking up at Anfield one of these days.

I feel that some of the younger fans (not having a go) do not get the feeling of that Wembley Final because for us 'older' lads its still set solid in our minds and maybe it is because football was not on every night of the week like it is now or maybe the cups just meant more back then. These Cups for me are the bread and butter of domestic football and they put us on our pearch, that is for sure.

Yes League titles and old bigears are fantastic and always will but the cups are special too, well for me they certainly are.

They had a little spell right at the start for about 15 mins, hit the bar with a free kick.
Kelleher tipped that on to the bar.  excellent save.

He did. It was.

Faintest of touches, so might’ve hit the bar anyway. Still, got to go down as a great save.

Arsenal looked utterly gassed at 60 minutes. They offered nothing once we went 1-0 up. Was a question of whether we could put it away to prevent the risk of an undeserved equaliser. Our defence was noticeably very tight tonight and gave nothing away. Kelleher is proving a worthy understudy.

It is #4 on the cup priority list but damn I'm looking forward to the final  :)

What a performance. Not a great Arsenal side but things were looking good for them this time last week. Thought we were outstanding, actually.

Quite liked that sub. Milner as a finisher and replacing Hendo so still left Jones and Fab out there. It’s when they play together that sometimes things can go wrong as they can both roam quite wide.

great win, biggest surprise and concern tonight was the analysis by Redknapp and Merson, i was shocked at how insightful and intelligent it was.

I'd take Odegaard first. Virtually every passing move was through him.

We were very good. As others have said, fourth priority but nice to be in the final.

I think we wanted to shore up the right-hand side because Martinelli was looking to get at Trent. So bringing Milner and then Neco on made sense.
