I wolfed down the first 4 yesterday.

Do like something about it, but there's a little too much mawkishness for my liking. Once I'm addicted I won't stop till I get to the end of the series though so giving it more time.

PS if anyone has any interest in music at all, and hasn't watched Treme yet, do yourself a favour.

Anyone know if season 4 of Being Human is worth picking up on DVD.

Liked the first three seasons, does the change of cast make a big difference?

Yeah, loved it. A surprising amount of the cast have gone onto really good careers. James Franco, Seth Rogan and Jason Segel all in it.

Those Apatow and Feig blokes haven't done too shabby either. It really was an incredible cast and crew for a show that only stayed around 18 episodes.

The only show I'm downloading at the moment is Two Greedy Italians.

Brilliant cooking show ... normally not into that but it's very well presented and goes beyond food and explains alot about Italian culture and society.

Highly recommend it if you haven't seen it already ... Season 1 is out on DVD and Season 2 is now on air.

You can't go wrong with either, although I prefer Breaking Bad as a show.  Dexter's pretty damn great though.

And joining in with the Friday Nights Light love too. Just started the final season and damn am I going to miss it when I'm finished.

I was going to say Dexter first. I think BB is better and depending how quickly you go through these shows, you could it just right to finish them as they end for good.

ad feedback
Our entire way of life depends on electricity. So what would happen if it just stopped working? Well, one day, like a switch turned off, the world is suddenly thrust back into the dark ages. Planes fall from the sky, hospitals shut down, and communication is impossible. And without any modern technology, who can tell us why? Now, 15 years later, life is back to what it once was long before the industrial revolution: families living in quiet cul-de-sacs, and when the sun goes down lanterns and candles are lit. Life is slower and sweeter. Or is it? On the fringes of small farming communities, danger lurks. And a young woman's life is dramatically changed when a local militia arrives and kills her father, who mysteriously - and unbeknownst to her - had something to do with the blackout. This brutal encounter sets her and two unlikely companions off on a daring coming-of-age journey to find answers about the past in the hopes of reclaiming the future. Written by NBC Publicity

If you're looking for a great drama, there's plenty out there from the last few years for you to sink your teeth into.

Breaking Bad - the best drama on telly. Heart-attack inducing tension, superbly acted.

Justified - the coolest show on TV. Based on an Elmore Leonard short story, so no surprise the dialogue is fantastic with some great characters.

Chuck - my favourite show. Light-weight in comparison to the other dramas here, but it's just so much fun. Just finished its fifth and final season in the US.

Friday Night Lights - far more than a high-school drama about an American Football team. Heart-breaking.

Honourable mentions to Homeland and Game Of Thrones, the two best new shows of 2011. Loved Borgen also.

And if you're looking for something a little further back: Deadwood, BSG, Mad Men.

If you're looking for a great comedy, look no further than Parks & Recreation, Community or Louie.

Real shame you couldn't get into The West Wing. That and The Wire top my best drama ever list.

Tried Chuck... couldn't stomach it, only got to the 3rd episode because blondie is hot.  Parks & Rec seemed good from the couple of episodes I watched and I'll definitely go back to it.
Community took over my life in the last week, absolutely loved it :D  Thought it was gonna be well cheesy (like Chuck ;) ) but it really surprised me... it's up there with 30 Rock, NBC's other quality comedy.
Might try out Louie before going back to to P&R.

Everything else on your list I fully endorse... great shows!  (havent seen Borgen though)

Game of Thrones
Breaking Bad
Underbelly
Prison Break
Fringe

Just coming to the end of Eastbound and down now.
