May I just say that there is a B.E.L.T.E.R. of a post in the TAW pipeline from yours truly.

In fact, the biggest belter in a pipeline since that genetically modified croc was found in the New York sewage system. But in a good way.

I wasnt sure if it was tongue in cheek, but I dont think it would be awful, look at Valencia for United yesterday.

Bit of both. Never a serious option but why not? Definitely should have started in some capacity either way.

Felt like emotions ran a little higher today than before.

Good show again, although somewhat chatty at times, people cutting each other off.

No doubt about that, I said in the prematch thread that I fancied him to score so I was surprised not to see him selected. (Kuyt)

Back on topic, class as usual, can we have some names to faces on those pics? I recognise Jim and Kris from their twitter pics and then I'm a bit lost.

(This threads a lot quieter than last Monday btw, bit odd as I thought this was in high demand?)

Kuyt over Flanagan for a one off?

I assumed he was injured before Jim revealed that wasn't the case.

never played there? he may or may not do a job there, but spurs away, against bale is hardly the best place to test it. Im guessing spearing would have been ahead of him for the role to, and like mentioned in the pod cast, enrique there?

Yep, in hindsight, Enrique would've been the one - especially given Bale likes to come inside.

Best footy podcast on the internet. Non-sensationalist, articulate, diverse and great production values. So much better than the Times and Football Weekly it's not funny.

Only slight quibble is keeping up with who's who because of the different voices. The ones I recognise clearly are Rory, Andy and Kristian. Would love to see some phone guests like Tomkins etc. further down the line. as well. These are only minor suggestions though, the current format is very addictive.

Seriously, I needed to listen to that, after the weekend, like a friendly voice in a field full of babbling madmen.

"My idea was to build Liverpool into a bastion of invincibility. Napoleon had that idea. He wanted to conquer the bloody world. I wanted Liverpool to be untouchable. My idea was to build Liverpool up and up until eventually everyone would have to submit and give in."

Haha yeah it's a good read. I can empathise as well, not that my car was knacked at the weekend but I was doing 'family stuff' and everywhere I turned looking for solace or a glimmer of hope I was met with further disappointment (a special mention to the unrelentingly glum SRAWL on the match day commentary thread - has anyone checked in on him for a while?).

Incidentally, the article coming this avo is a belter. I was chuckling to myself as I wrote it up - and btw, 99% of the words aren't mine. Well, 199% of the words aren't mine, cos the interview was pruned within an inch of its life. :)

You lot know the fella too - just not as well as you thought you did.

To be honest, I think the design of the site is it's strongest yet most underrated and indeed understated feature, and yes, Ian is a genius.

And you're second piece will be up at 17:00
