Is Ibe cup tied?
"All the lads have been talking about is walking out in front of the Kop, with 40,000 singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone'," Collins told BBC Radio Solent. "All the money in the world couldn't buy that feeling," he added.

I think the relative question is when isn't Ibe cup tied?

That could be a huge goal by Maribor in the context of the group.
For Sevilla maybe. Lets win this and win the group.

Yep, the fact that we can rest everyone in our next CL game would be a big boost for us. Get it done reds.

Regardless of tonight's result, a draw against Spartak sees us through. Just win it tonight and our last game is academic. We would top our group as well. A Spartak win tonight and a win against us would have seen them top the group. So a draw turned out nicely for us.

Smooth cat reference.
I watched a YouTube video and decided that Paul Konchesky looked like a player.

Yeah, was just confirming on wiki. The 4-4 game against Chelsea was our last CL knockout game. Almost 8 9 years ago.

Karius for Mignolet, and Gomez for Trent - just two changes from Saints game.

Anyone seen the bench?

Remember that and what I was doing during the match, and my emotions as each goal went in like it was last week - and I've got a shit memory too.

Mental that that was our last knockout CL game. Who'd have thought at the time? Most thought we'd be up there for another few years atleast, then Rafa got sacked after one poor season and Hodgson came in. The rest is history...

Anyone seen the bench?

#LFC XI: Karius, Gomez, Klavan, Lovren, Moreno, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Coutinho, Mane, Salah, Firmino.
#LFC substitutes: Mignolet, Milner, Sturridge, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Can, Solanke, Alexander-Arnold.

This is a huge game for the squad and their development though. Champions League away to a tricky side - a side that beat them in their Europa League final in Klopp's first season. If they can show their mentality well away from home, it'll be big for this team. Getting a result and winning the group would be a great boost.

Amazed he hasn't made more changes.

Surely he'll want that midfield and front line against Chelsea, meaning he's asking all 6 to do 3 games in a week.

I thought tonight suited Emre Can & Milner to come in, perhaps rest Henderson.

Mane just back from injury, you could have used Oxlade Chamblerain. This insn't a must win game. Salah is being asked to do every game.

When does Sturridge get a loook in?

All the talk online and places like TAW is Klopp wanted a bigger squad so he can rotate. He seems to fucking loathe the idea of rotation & using subs.

No need to go so strong here, we've got the squad to rotate yet he seems hellbent on running players into the ground.

I thought finishing places were determined by the results between each team and not by goal difference.

So if we don't win tonight a defeat to Spartak knocks us outta the CL.

Fuck man seriously! Don't remind me, hope we get back to those heights. If I remember correctly we had some 3 semi-finals+ in 4 or so years, including 1 winner and 1 runners-up medal. I think we met Chelsea some 4 times in 5 years in knockouts, beating them twice and losing twice.

This. Every day of the week. We can only be concerned about what we do in our game at the time it's played. Klopp knows this. He doesn't play the odds, he plays the game.
