What is an Emery team?  Considering he had no say in transfers at Sevilla or PSG then I'm genuinely interested in what the thought on this is.

That seems like a backwards conclusion. Isn't it likely that at Sevilla the players targetted wre chosen because they fit the manager's blueprint.

I could be wrong but from what I've read Monchi didn't change what he did as far as buying and selling players per manager as he had 13 of them in 16 years at Sevilla.  He would have to redo his evaluations and targets basically every year if that were the case.  Emery continued the overall way Sevilla were playing from Marcelino and Michel with adjustments for the way he wanted it done, he didn't reinvent anything.  They sold their best players every year and brought in new ones with potential to then sell again, I doubt Emery had much of a say in any of it as it goes against a manager's will to build something and win.

Do think Emery is one of the best tactical managers in the league - consistently being able to analyse why the game is going how it is and make changes really gives the team an advantage and gain momentum.  Superb team performance and yes, Torreira really knits the side together.  For me this month was always going to be key, starting with the NLD, United game at OT in three days and then Chelsea (H) and Liverpool (A) within the next 6 weeks.  I'd be happy with 7 points from that, though it really should be 9 at current form.

Was chuffed with the way we set about the game yesterday more than anything. Apart from a 10min spell where Spurs got their 2 goals & we sort of fell away a wee bit, i thought we bossed the game.

Old Trafford next, lets hope we get that monkey off our back & don't roll over & get our stomach tickled no matter the form of both teams. I'm still skeptical of course, yet to show we can go to our traditionally difficult away grounds & get a result.

I was puzzled when Arsenal offered him a new contract early this year. And at 400k euros a week, it was so unlike Arsenal.

I think the 'everywhere' part applied to last season Away  , but this season that's much better it looks like.
