Would rather we played Konate today and next Sunday and sat him out on Thursday. That's how we'll need to manage the squad for the rest of the season given he can't play a succession of games together.

Klopp said on Friday Konate is fine no?

Said this before and then a player misses 3/4 games.

Would be dining if he’s injured when he missed all those games for us and we didn’t pull him from French duty.

Believe he missed training because we gave him extra rest so it makes sense. Will be hoping he is on the bench.

Yes. Surely, if he is fit he will start the utd game, though?  My guess is if he is on the bench today, he will start against Sheffield Utd on Thursday and be given around 60 mins before taking him off with a view to him starting against Utd on Sunday. There is just no way Quansah, despite being excellent for us, starts ahead of Konate in the utd game if the latter is fit.

Think he’s saying Konate starts today and the United game and sits out the Sheffield game during the wee

Thats not how injuries work though is it? This game his now and he may not be 100% ready or we want just a bit more time. People cant pause their concerns and issues to suit a schedule.

Its like how people say play a game now and they will have xx weeks off. If they are tired and are in the red now, then thats it.

Strong side.

They have some big lads and Gross on set pieces so need to be careful not giving away FKs.

He's not going to refuse to play for his country is he? Blame the France setup if you like, but directing any blame towards Konate is just silly.

Tough test for the team today, tough test to start the run-in. We need to win this one, and to do that we need to play really well. We have to be clinical in front of goal, we need put away our chances when we get them. We need the 3 points today.

Come on Liverpool!!!!! YNWA!

Their side isn’t looking the strongest. I hate Welbeck, he’s one of those deceptively clever players that always causes us problems with his movement. He’ll be looking to catch Quansah and Bradley out all game, it’ll be a decent test for those two. We should have more than enough to get over the line here today, we have a habit sometimes of not showing our levels against smaller sides but hopefully we’re business-like today and get it done before half time.
