No Bayern fans allowed at the Emirates for the first leg, poor Arteta is gonna be working overtime trying to force an atmosphere.

That reminds me, how are Martinelli 's hamstrings doing?  ;)
He has no issue with hamstring. Just a deep cut on his feet. No even a muscle injury.

I'll be hoping for Arsenal to win the tie after another 120-min second leg, penalties or not. Them fall to Real.

Tough road for both Arsenal and Man City to get to the final.

Arsenal to beat Bayern and then lose in the semi final? That would be my guess.

I see your wsl game tonight with Chelsea is delayed due to a kit clash. Mental that.
Still envious your wsl games are at the Emirates. I think some Chelsea ones are at the bridge too.

Socks were the issue. Arsenal turned up with white ones, which are worn by Chelsea. Arsenal had to buy a load of Chelsea's away socks from the club shop and tape the logos  ;D

Second leg at home is big for Bayern. Bayern aren't going to be scared going to Emirates, either.

I actually think Bayern is getting disrespected, rather than Arsenal. They still have talent across the board - and Tuchel can generally manage in Europe.

Yeah, I think a few people are underestimating Bayern a little bit. They're having a bad season by their standards, but it's not like they're having a season like Chelsea.
Leverkusen's incredible season is making it look worse as well.

In the league they're going at 2.28 ppg, compared to Arsenal's 2.286.

Overall this season:

Arsenal  Played 40, W 26, D6, L 8 GD +55
Bayern   Played 36, W 24, D5, L 7 GD +52

A draw or a single goal victory for Arsenal in the first leg and I would have Bayern favourites to go through.

I feel the same. I love Arsene Wenger, the biggest 'what if' in this clubs history is the fact that he would've come here when he was back in Monaco. But the club would never have ever considered him at the time.

With the fans, they're generally sound. I know a few in real life. When I watch games with them they give up so easily. One of them actually wanted Ramsdale to fuck up again against Brentford at 1-1 just so he never gets picked again. I think this is AFTVs influence, it's given a fraction of the fanbase brain rot. I don't think you deserve to win things with that mentality.

I don't like Arteta and never will, he's a bluenose and has Pep's mannerisms. That's an unfortunate combination from our point of view.

I don’t remember him scoring the same amount of goals as Salah. I must’ve missed that.

He’s not fit to lace Salah’s boots! Saka is just a decent player who whinges and dives a lot.

I think it's easier to like a club that aren't a threat.

--edit-- although , by that reasoning , we should love Everton and United.

Imitation is a form of flattery. We are famous for our songs. Other clubs rip them off.

Now that we are at the business end of the season, let’s see what’s what. I think Arsenal can beat Bayern Munich in the CL, if they play like they do in the Prem, but I think either Man City or Real Madrid will have too much for them. Let’s see.

As for the league, I want them to draw with Man City, so we leapfrog back to the top, assuming we win. With top spot reclaimed, we can then focus on that finish line and put our foot down, winning every game all the way to the title. That’s the hope!

Agreed. The arse will need a big lead going the Allianz. It's all Bayern have left. They may be shite but so are Arsenal away in Europe. And then, of course, there is Sir Harry. I want them to go through and play City/Madrid in the semi but I have my doubts about them. Too emotional when you need calm over two legs
...If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same

We will beat them. They were "fortunate" at Anfield that the officials were the ones their owners paid to ref in their home league.

Arsenal fans, I've just realised if you lose this game against City it could effectively end your season in March. You won't be catching and overtaking BOTH Liverpool and City in the run in, one maybe but that's all. And that's unlikely with your brutal run in.

That leaves the CL, where to win that you have to beat Kane FC, City and then Diego Simeone. Of course you'd have to rest players for it and discard the league campaign for a proper shot.

Wow, if there was time to show some bottle it's that City six pointer game.  :o
Nineteen Six. Believe it now, baby!
