Completely disagree. Culpepper is an overrated qb IMO with a club in need of a makeover. Eli's NFL career spans about 25 games and expect dramatic improvement in the years ahead.
I don't understand your comments regarding west coast teams.
Regarding the Colts and Manning, you must know something the bookies don't know. 6 weeks ago the Colts were a mind boggling 4/5 to win the Super Bowl. The door was wide open for them especially with New England getting bounced out the night before. Still, a good prediction on your part.
As far as Rodney Harrison is concerned . . spare me. He's a safety and a very good one but the loss of a player at that particular position isn't the reason why a club won't go all the way. 3 players for the Pats uncharacteristically made mistakes the other night: Brady, Troy Brown and Vinatieri.
Rant over.
Eli won't be a great QB, and while Culpepper is not over-rated, I picked up his name for any QB who will not win a SuperBowl (I coulda picked Rex Grossman for example).
The West Coast thing is a half joke.
With regards to Manning, the guy is so overconfident I dislike him. He probably will be a great QB who never won the big one, and age is catching up with him (recently, all winning QB's have been in their mid-twenties. I believe Manning is 30 now).
Harrison is a very important piece of the Patriots' team - the guy lives, breathes, eats and sleeps football. He is your players' player; a leader on the team, a great technician, a guy who really knows what's up and what's not. With him gone, it ain't the same. And which Brady mistake are you refering to? If you mean the interception, it was a greater defensive play than a mistake I think. If the Pats want to win another one, they need to get Harrison back, plus a younger Running Back.
When it comes to winning the Superbowl lately, the team that has more grit ends up winning it. The Colts play beautiful football, but don't have the type of grit that the Pats have shown in previous years, or the type that the Steelers showed against them (all perfectly mirrored in Cowher's snarl). Which is surprising as Dungy can build a great defensive team (cf an unfashionable Bucs winning the big one, led by Gruden who inherited the team from Dungy). To me it was clear that the Colts wouldn't win. (The Broncos on the other hand, may, if they beat the Steelers). Hey, as they say over here, Defense wins you Rings!
