Gerrard always looked confident taking pens. Owen did, Fowler did. They often didn't hit the spot. Kuyt's doing fine... we've got a good pen taker in Kuyt. It's not subtle, and it's not cute, but he doesn't show much doubt, and SG does.
Apart from the 2007 derby when Gerrard was still on the pitch during Kuyt's first pen, then yes never.
Anyone know Kuyt's record from the spot?
Dirk Kuyt.8/9 in a Liverpool shirt isn't it, phenomenal record.
Only 3 misses after 2006 though, and 2 of those were scored on the rebound.
As revealed recently Dirk wasnt first choice then either, he took it and scored it with a fantastic penalty but he wasnt first choice then either, which was my point. Rightly or wrongly he HAS NOT been first choice in that scenario
If Harry can get Spurs to the CL 1/4 final then he could get England to the World Cup final.
We've won 18 titles, 5 European Cups, 7 FA Cups, but today must be the greatest victory of all.
Why isn't Suarez taking any penalties? This guy is cool under pressure and has a great footballing brain.
Gerrard combines the best mix of accuracy and power in my opinion, and Reina's taught him where to place it so the keeper can't get to it. He missed a couple early on in his career, but besides that he has an excellent record. Kuyt is great at them, but I feel more confident with Gerrard lining up to take one
I assume they have a peno competition before each season and the person who wins it takes them. That' what I wouls like to think anyway.
Kuyt gerrard adamsuarezin that order for me

8/9 in a Liverpool shirt isn't it, phenomenal record.
