Most exciting talent to come out the academy since sterling? Actually reminded me a lot of sterling out there when he first broke through where he was fearless and took his man on at any given opportunity.

You can see he's both not ready for top level football but also an exceptional talent. If his head is screwed on and he's a good learner  then we could have a special player.

Can’t remember the last time I was that impressed by the debut of a youth player and he was only on for 15 minutes. He looks class doesn’t he?

Close control, low centre of gravity, seems quite strong for his size.

It was certainly refreshing to have somebody so direct on the pitch.  At times we do tend to over do the build-up without really threatening much but he added some real threat.

I don't know whether a better (and fresher) full-back would have just shut him down but as debuts from 16-year olds go that was very good.

Our recruitment team have played a blinder with Elliott, Carvalha, Ramsay, Clark and Doak.  I'm not sure about the morals of raiding the best young players from other club's academies but everyone is doing it and if we're going to do it then I'm glad we're at least doing it well.

First thing he did when he came on, was pick up the ball, beat thier fullback and send a shot about 10 feet wide. Klopp was laughing his head off at it.

Looks exciting, more than happy to knock the ball past his opponent and take him on. Only 16, you have to have a bit of footballing personality to play with the confidence he shown today on ye debut, the occasion didn't get to him. No doubt we will see him in the years to come.

He really raised an eyebrow out there today. Fluffed his first foray and just clean forgot about it and ended up being our biggest threat. Very encouraging.

His first club was Ayr United same as Stevie Nicol and he can also play full back.

Must have been strange for him to be playing alongside players many years older than him...like Harvey Elliott
