Amazing that at 16 years old, you just want the ball to be passed to him because you know he won't waste it.

I think Harvey will be great for us in the future lads but having seen him a few times now I think he doesn't have the pace to be a wide player for us. Stick him in at #10 or as one of the #8's in our system.

Agree, but I think he needs to bulk up a bit (naturally, because he's only 16) to play in the middle right now.

Had we been where we were four years ago and not had a certain Salah around, he'd be a serious contender for regular PL cameos. Looking amazing in terms of physical ability for his age! The raw talent and the dribbling is already there.

Has a bright future this lad. Oozes confidence that belies his age. We could have a gem here

From the youngsters we have right now, seems like he is the pick of the bunch. Incredible ball control and confidence.

3 years of development to go before he even hits 20.  :lickin

Holy shit! I thought Greta was 14 still! :D

Had a good game lad. Probably wasn't comfortable taking set pieces and was always looking for someone to take it off him. Good for the lads to keep encouraging him to take them. He has a delivery on him, needs a bit more experience and it'll come.

It's not confidence, it's intelligence. He doesn't rely on a trick, nor pace. He's an instant problem solver - be it by skill or by a pass, he thinks his way through a game. He's already first-team ready, and would be the highlight of our team in many seasons past. Him, Williams and Jones are genuinely exceptional footballers who I believe are already ready for first team contention in the best team in the world. What a time to be a liverpool fan. Unbelievable!

Looked his age out there today. The talent is obviously there, but still got a long way to go before he's ready for first team football.

I've only seen the games he's played for us in the senior side and hes' going to be great in 4 years time but he doesn't have the pace to play as a wide man for us. He's a #10 or #8 in our system.

Hid movement when we had the ball was poor today. When the opposition packs the defence, you need attackers to to smart in how they pull defenders out of shape. Both him and Origi were far too static and passive today.

Reminds me of Lallana. Not quick or strong, but very press resistant. Can definitely see him developing into a top player in that hybrid 8/10 role, but I get why he's getting game time out wide now.

What a goal!

He's old 16 and I have read some things like he hasn't got the pace etc.

If you can't see this lad is a talent the you need your eyes testing.

What a goal!

Ha ha, no way. I saw that on my tiny phone screen before and thought he had scored direct from the corner.

I was thinking "nice left-foot technique, but not as good as everyone is making out".

Absolutely love the look of this lad; don't think I've ever seen better balance, positioning and game intelligence in a player his age. Shame his bad touch came in that break but in fairness to him I think he'd taken a knock in winning the ball. Beautiful player to watch.

Owen?
Owen and Sterling looked faster; but I don't think either of them looked or indeed were more talented. It's unbelievable how complete he seems to be and even the pace I thought was a weakness actually isn't - he's very quick on the break with the ball at his feet because his control is so good, only lacks a real afterburner sprint but don't think he really needs it for the same reasons that Firmino doesn't.
He is the cat who walks by himself, and all roads are alike to him.
