Liverpool at home against a side that plays attractive, attacking, defensively suspect 3-at-the-back system? Hmmm.

Robertson coming in for Moreno should be a no brainer.

Hope so. Just know how klopp loves an overload in attack and we seen moreno have success in the few games so far but seffo an opposition target defensively.

Recon with moreno in midweek and reobertson rested we see robertson back for this one.

Goals in this for me i recon 3:2 reds but would love a clean sheet and all 3 points ideally

Mmm. Tough one. We are all at sea at the back. So are they. I guess it's down to us to fly out of the traps and be 4-3 up at HT.

Can't wait for this. BH weekend. Sun out. Cider flowing. COME ON LADS!!!!! 8)

Has Moreno been directly involved or made a mistake in us conceding? :o slightly shocked because I seen other players stand still and watch opposition players score a goal/while others have passed the ball to the opposition to help them score.

Yet amazingly no one is calling for there head. Supporting Liverpool must be really hard for some as they can't seem to support the whole team.

Don't want Joe Gomez to be up against Alexis Sanchez.

I would be happy with Moreno playing. That partnership with Mane looked promising and we should definitely be looking to kill Arsenal off early on.

Robertson had a good debut too though so I'd be happy to see him as well.

Or some would like to see the new signing given a run of games to see whether he's an improvement.

Would be happy for that to happen.

But we should be prepared to give MORENO a run of games to see whether there's been an improvement there, if Klopp is prepared to do the same.

Competition only benefits us and there will be plenty of games for both to put their case in, regardless who gets the nod on Sunday. They both look inspired and hungry. I'm hopeful both have a good future here.

If Moreno does start, i think he will need a bit more protection to be fair to him. He is vulnerable defensively, that much is clear. The opposition will attack him, needs protection.

Which will give us a lot of space to exploit in return, as Babu highlighted in the recent round table.

What? Why? Gomez is as fast as TAA and a CB by trade, so a better defender. He would be a better bet than Milner there who is shorter, slower than Gomez and gets beat one on one quite often I think.

probably not - but it looks like he is at least available.

I'm stunned there haven't been any bids for him that have made the news.

There's no way Gomez is as fast as Arnold.

May be not. That was poorly worded. What I meant to say was Gomez is still better equipped to deal with a pacy winger than Milner. Gomez may not be as fast as TAA; but one of the reasons he was so highly thought of when he came here was his pace. And Klopp recently commented on how he hasn't lost his pace through his injury.

I would go with that side as well. Jurgen said Can got a knock but should be ok, but Milner in for him if he doesn't make it.

need 3 points here to sign off before the break.   Plus seriously dent a rival early doors in the process. (always enjoy inflicting as much pain on arsenal, we could beat them a thousand times over and it still wouldn't make up for that hot Friday night at the end of May in '89.)

Can see us hurting them, just need to be tight at the back.  Same old really though isnt it, we can outscore anybody it seems

Just watched the press conference.
What a manager we have, I know we all know that but sometimes I still think wow...
Great laugh about Gini's new born.
Looking forward to this game.
It's going to be really tough obviously but should be end to end fantastic attacking football.
But I'd take a boring 1-0 too.
But with Mane's form as well as Robbie and Mo starting to peak, we could well smash em ☺

I'd - realistically - go:

Mignolet

Milner - Matip - Lovren - Robertson

Emre - Henderson - Wijnaldum

Salah - Firmino - Mane

I'd swap the full backs. Get a couple more solid lads in there for this game, and also a bit of freshness as neither Robertson or Milner played 90 mid week. Also with Sanchez coming back, I think Milner might be able to deal with him better than Trent would, plus Trent is carrying a little bit of a knock. No need to put too much on the lad yet.

If Arsenal play a high line with their defense then we could blitz them. That said, they do have goals in their team and you'd probably fancy them to nick at least one. I wouldn't mind a shootout, it would favor us. I'll go with 4-2.

Yeah me too.
It'll be about keeping much better possession which is why the loss of Phil and Adam is difficult to take. But where there's a will there's a way, so I'm sure we'll maximise our strengths while minimising theirs too.
Don't worry, Jurgen has got this 😁

Think they'll naively come to Anfield and try to play football with a high line, and their 3 centrebacks will be exposed 1 on 1 against Mane and Salah like the Hoffenheim game. They're a bit like us where they're decent in attack but poor at the back so it could be a game of who outscores the other.

I just can't believe they'll do that.

It's exactly what we'd want them to do, exactly the defective pattern we'd like.

But it's arsenal, they might well do just that..

Forget Sanchez, Lacazette is the big worry. Him and Giroud off the bench, the fucker always seems to score against us.

I'll echo what others have said so I'll have us down to win 4-3 or 3-2 or some other mad scoreline. There's no defense that can keep us out on our day (and I'm really hoping we have one on Sunday), but considering the fact that Spennymoor Town FC would probably find the net against us I also expect Arsenal to score.

We need to control the midfield. Our back 4 and their back 3 are suspect at best so it's a game of attrition from that perspective. If we control the midfield, we have more chances of slicing them open.

Just saw Danny Higginbottom's analysis of Liverpool vs Arsenal......some of the worst I've ever seen.  He thinks Liverpool will sit deep and allow no space behind our CB's??? I don't think he's ever seen Klopp's Liverpool play.
