Anybody have a clue what percentage Sterling is of Playing tonight?

Very high I would think. I know there's been clamour for him to be rested, but I think he'll be rested in the Stoke game personally.

Big 3 points today. Points over performance at this stage (sounds obvious but we sit here everyweek defending good performances in defeat).

Lets hope Rodgers cheeky trip to Garlands doesn't come back to haunt him!

Memories of Fulham outplaying us at home under Roy Hodgson spring back to mind. Made Danny Murphy look like Zidane that day.

That's funny because Hodgson didn't face Fulham in his Liverpool reign.

Unbelievable the amount of shit people make up for a little dig at someone.

Was gonna mention that, Fulham at home was one of Kenny's first games back and we sneaked it 1 nil with that defender they had who couldn't stop scorin own goals doing the business

I'd rather have Sterling run them ragged from the off and then get subbed on for Suso to exploit the space their tiredness leaves.

I've got a feeling that Origi is the real deal, from a couple of games I watched but mainly his interviews there seems to be something about him.

Expect a dull 0-0 it's been the feature of many visits from Fulham in recent years. We won 1-0 last year but that was it up to 2007 where we last won 2-0.

Fulham play for the draw with little attacking threat so don't think "we'll twat them 4-0"

i'd rather have them both like at the beginning of the season, but I'm guessing Sterling could benefit from a rest

They've scored and conceded more than we have? Been in some exciting games this season

Looking at the table barring the bottom 3 and Man Utd they've had the most goals (for & against) in their games

They'll sit back and catch us on the break, the same tactic every away side has used this season at Anfield.

The 1-0 win where we sat back for the last half an hour and let Danny Murphy dictate play with  no pressure for the entire final period!

and the same tactic used for teams who play the likes of Swansea and Barcelona. You hold the ball then they'll counter with pace and lethal finishers.

That game was an early reminder of how much we missed Lucas. We allowed Murphy to run the midfield.

Do not think that is true at all. Think they've been quite a nice attacking team since Jol has been there; I don't expect a high-scoring game but I certainly don't expect to see attack v defence either.

Although, saying that, their midfield problems may necessitate a bit more of a defensive approach to the game. Baird is starting in midfield isn't he? Sidwell suspended, Ruiz & Diarra injured.

If we actually manage to convert a chance in the first 15/20 minutes then we might go on to win comfortably. If we fluff them as we invariably do then it could be another long evening.

That made me feel all nostalgic for a moment, then I realised I was dreaming of a penalty we once had, and I quickly snapped myself back to reality.

That's not strictly true. Once they scored the second goal it became very easy but until then it was a game.

Villa scored 2 goals from us giving the ball away in our own half. That's not a counter attack. The second goal was and we are always vulnerable to it because we push both full backs too high at the same time too early in matches. We need to start realising when a dangerous situation is developing on the counter and give some clever fouls away.
