Probably the best place for this chart.

Shows the current totals for each club after Round 20 (with four clubs still to play their 20th fixture), as well as the maximum totals they can get, as well as their 'expected total' - which is based on their current points-per-game.

Such an interesting stat.  It shows a bit about the intensity required I think.  When we have a chance we have a honey level of intensity more frequently.  Definitely relates to the importance of the fans at anfield too.  That season behind closed doors was a total outlier for home record
Decimated by injuries too but it was 6 home losses in a row? :lmao

Yes, clearly the injuries had an impact, but even the end of the 2020 season when the fans weren't in it caused a drop.

Home advantage is huge, and when your home is an environment like we have at Anfield it's an even bigger advantage. This side thrives on intensity and it needs the support to help maintain it.

I have to say, I kind of expected Man City to put 5 or 6 past Burnley.  3 and the late concession against a Burnley team that plays right into their hands with how high their line is, doesn't smell right.

Funny you should mention that, I was just thinking that this is the first time in one of the close title races we've had in recent years where our goal difference hasn't been a long way behind. Hopefully it won't be a factor but it's a better to have that backup plan than not as we know all too well.

So if Villa and Spurs win at the weekend and so do we, Arsenal, Villa and Spurs will all be on the same APLT points, -9.

They'd also be on the same points in the real table - 46.

Spurs and Villa even have the same goal difference.

If we beat Arsenal by 9 goals, they'd all have the same goal difference. I do concede that is a bit unlikely.

Bit weird all that.

Both teams had par 1 games this weekend.
We came away with 0 points so 1 under par in the APLT, we drop to -2.
If City win tomorrow that will be 2 over par in the APLT, therefore they would move to -3.
If you're lying, I'll chop your head off.

We've got 4 par 1s left. We really need to win our next 3 if goes without saying.

City got 5 par 1s left. Us being next.

If we can win the next 4 including City, then we'd be 4 clear on APLT.

Could do with City drawing a home game or something

Thanks Prof, that’s a nice looking update. Is it a pain to move the fixture columns around in the OP or is it simply a case of cut and insert it in a different place? Just thinking it would be easier to see how our fixtures compare to City and Arsenal if they were next to us in columns 2 and 3.
