Yeah I read that too, Kaka is from a very posh middle class family.

Maybe a new club will give him some motivation?

He's at the stage Raul was at a few years ago. Always thought he should have left as well. Feel the same about Ronaldinho.

And I'd have him here in a second. Anyone saying they wouldn't is a liar.

                                      Torres

Babel                            Gerrard                         Ronaldinho

                    Mascherano        Alonso

Yeah, like you wouldn't love that.
Balotelli, Falcao, Cavani...

I'll be shocked if it's anyone other Etoo. Etoo or no-one. Simples.

In fact, I'll do you all a favor and ban myself from the January transfer window forum if we get anyone other than Etoo.

For sure everyone would have him over Kuyt on the right, no?

Shame it wouldn't happen -HH- cos that is sexy as fuck.

Ronaldinho looks like the type who likes his big city glamour living. Chelsea or Milan for him.

Could always stick Gerrard on the right and put Ronaldinho in the CAM position? Make Gerrard track back, prefer him defensively on his day over Kuyt myself.

Don't take it as if I have something against Dirk either, I just would much rather see Ronaldinho in the side.

Exactly, of course it won't happen. But to say you wouldn't like it?

I just don't believe anyone who says that. Pretty sure Anfield on a Euro night would get his juices flowing again.

Alternatively you could argue he likes it too much, it is his downfall...   and he'd be better off elsewhere.

Sure, but he seems like the type with a big entourage and partying agenda. Reckon he has another 4 seasons of peak play left. Milan would be a team that could offer him a new challenge with a professional ethos at which he could potentially thrive, and with the highest ambitions and competitiveness. Leonardo is a coach there, Brazilian links, fashion capital of the world -----> models -----> nightclubs -----> more models ------> lots of pussy to bang.

Possibly.   Might not be the best for his career, unless he goes partying with Kaka.....

I think he's on the way down, and I think he'd completely undermine Rafa's ethos of hard work, hard work and more hard work.  You can't have 10 players pulling in one direction and one guy sat on his fat ass eating wotsits and drinking banana daiquiris.

I wouldn't want him anywhere near the club.

His conduct with Barca is dodgy to say the least - sometimes misses training, does his own gym work instead of working with everyone else on the field, claims he's injured even though the doctors have admitted there's nothing wrong with him etc.

The guy's head is in completely the wrong place.
They don't care about Rafa,
They don't care about the fans,
Liverpool Football Club is in the wrong hands.

If DIC are in i see Ronaldinho as exactly the kind of signing they'd be looking to make. And i'd welcome it, aslong as they don't go over Rafa's head in doing so. He's still a player you have to accomodate though, whether he's in the right frame of mind or not.

Raul has had several average seasons since the last time he had a good season. He hadn't looked hungry at Real for about 4 years until this season.

But he.....

still scored more goals when he came back in the few months before the end of that season than Anelka will with Chelsea before the end of this season.

Fowler--5 goals in 16 matches.

Anelka, so far, --2 goals in 13 matches.

I think he'd have to realise his best days were behind him first so he was willing to take a step down.
NOT (before you light the torches) a step down in club, but certainly a step down from what he's being payed right now for it to be considered worthwhile for us.
I mean as much as I love Yossi he would surely be a better option in the same withdrawn role people want him to be given a chance in, right? For the right money?

When was the last time you saw him take the ball past his marker? Think long and hard.

Not only has he lost his hunger, but his acceleration and explosive pace. If he can't run with the ball at players anymore he's lost maybe 50% of his game IMHO.

Obviously that wasn't all he had, but it's an awful lot of what made him the best in the world. Take it away and you've got a poorer version if Riquelme.

Can see him going to Inter with Materazzi going the other way. Don't think he and Kaka get along very well. Isn't Nike even sticking their nose in this deal as well, willing to pay for a large chunk of his fee should he sign on the dotted for Inter? Anyway, he's on the decline and looks a bit unstable right now, be interesting where he ends up

Some yes but Ronaldinho isn't exactly from a Favella.

Its not just the people who dwell in the Favella's that are poor you know.
Actually, most people are poor in Brazil, its just that the favela's get all the attention because of the contrast with Copacabana etc; with places like Rocinha. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rocinha).

For example Sao Paulo has 11million in the city alone and figures of 20million for Greater Sao Paulo (this has been argued to be closer to 27million in fact!), but they dont have any classic 'favelas'  (they have a more traditional ghetto style on the outskirts, with over 2000 individual areas thatl link to create massive 'ghettos' though at times you will here it called a 'favela', but it is nothing of the sort in the true sense of the world) but poverty is rife to say the least...........

Anyway I digress..... my point is ;D its not just 'favela' people who are poor in Brazil, plus let me add, Ronaldinho grew up quite poor (was lucky not to be from Rio or Sao Paulo actually) and even luckier that his brother played football too, and was able to buy a bigger, better house for the family.
If you really want to do something, you will find a way. If you don't, you will find an excuse.

Maybe getting the shit kicked out of him in the PL will motivate him to find his form over here.

As for Kaka, I remember reading about him suffering some kind of paralyzing injury (pool accident?) as a kid which he amazingly recovered from.  Being able to play football at the highest level right now is more a miracle for himthan it is for other footballers, which explains his continuing motivation to perform.

I actually believe that Ronaldinho can perform at the highest level for another 3-4 years if he goes to the right club with the right manager ... I can see him playing for this LFC team on the wide attacking position, with Babel on the other side and ... People here seem to forget that one of the main advantages in his game are the "killer" passes behind the opposition defence ... One of the main reasons Eto'o was that successful at Barca were those passes ... Now, with Torres on our team ...

As for the financial aspects, he is huge in the marketing department so hardly any financial risk ...

And I'd have him here in a second. Anyone saying they wouldn't is a liar.

                                      Torres

Babel                            Gerrard                         Ronaldinho

                    Mascherano        Alonso

Yeah, like you wouldn't love that.

Strangely enough I was thinking of that this morning ;D cause I read somewhere yesterday that Barca where considering giving Ronaldinho a free transfer....P.s. If that team doesn't win us the league, then I don't know if we'll ever win it..

I read somewhere yesterday that Barca where considering giving Ronaldinho a free transfer...

can't see him going on for free...easily get 15+ million from Chelsea IMO.

Barcelona board consider free transfer for Ronaldinho  :-X

Barcelona's board held crunch talks over Ronaldinho's situation yesterday.

DiarioSport says Barca directors spent the majority of yesterday's scheduled meeting discussing Ronaldinho's future at the Nou Camp.

Marc Ingla, Barca's vice-president, led the meeting and it was agreed that no offers should be courted until the end of the season in order to avoid harming the club's Champions League tilt. However, the prospect of giving Ronie a free transfer in the summer was seriously considered during the talks.

Ronaldinho's current contract runs out in 2010 and with interest from Europe's major clubs now drying up a free transfer for the Brazilian is now under serious consideration.

Barca's board agreed yesterday that two more years of the same controversy that has plagued Ronaldinho this season cannot be tolerated.
