This Is Anfield ‏@thisisanfield  48m
Kop mosaic reading "96" and "25 Years" will be displayed during minute's silence pre-match on Sunday.

Hope that people think twice before turning this minutes silence into a round of applause. Despise it to be honest.

Excited and nervous in equal measure!

I can't wait for Sunday, can we win?  Of course we bloody can!  Will we win? Of course we bloody will

To all those at Anfield,  put the fear of God into the Manchester City players, make them quake in their boots before they set foot on our turf, make it like the CL semi in 05!

We can, no we will do this!  Bring it home fellow redmen
However if something serious happens to them I will eat my own cock.

If anyone is going to put a few fingers deep into my arse it's going to be me.

Minutes applause are more for the celebration of people's lives. There's nothing to celebrate here. Anyone that claps deserves a kick in the face.

I'm certain (at least I hope) that absolutely no-one in the ground will need reminding of the massive difference in magnitude and seriousness between the marking of 25 years since the tragedy at Hillsborough and the marking of the passing of an aged ex-player or celebrity. No-one's going to start clapping. If they do, the world's gone mad.

I don't doubt our mentality and ability to bounce back but i think the first goal is absolutely crucial in this match.

We also need to keep a close eye on dzeko. He loves peeling off the back of the strikers and getting on the end of any balls flashed across the face of the goal as recently seen against Southampton and against us in the league games. They also like to overload the wings with 3/4 players hovering around our full back and center half while the likes of Toure/silva and Nasri can hurt us through the middle and cutting in... so needless to say its a massive game for the 5 at the back (including Gerrards DM role here).

Anyway, enough about them. Sturridges and Sterlings pace is key for us, keeping their fbs (likely clichy and zabaleta) pinned back and dragging Kompany and Demechiles all over the shop. It all depends how much BR wants to go at it from the off. Eg Sterling running at them from the beginning and pressing them like fck ala Arsenal and Everton. Or a more patient performance, more akin to an away game with Allen/Lucas coming in to make up the numbers or follow Silva about . There's merits for both approaches but seeing as we're at home i'd rather we played our normal game, went for it and win, lose or draw we wont be asking 'what if' after 90 minutes. Lest we forget we have a little maestro called Luis Suarez up there too with a few tricks up his sleeve!

Big game for Clattenburg as well. I'm hoping hes impartial in that he doesn't shy from some decisions bcus he thinks the crowd are calling for everything and baying for the City players blood.

What a game we're in for, my life is completely consumed by us at the moment. Every conceivable activity is filled with thoughts of Sunday and what might be (dont tell the missus that tho).

I'm torn between being physically sick and literally shiteing myself with nerves. Both bound to happen before midday on Sunday.

^ Its definitely a nervous excitement though, more 'kid at Christmas Eve' than 'night(mare) before Utd with Hodgson in charge'

I've been waiting for this moment all my life.

Even if we lose it.

All the hard times, watching the Mancs pick up the trophy. All the times we fell short.

If we win this one, I'll barely be able to contain myself.

Just done my 'Jonah' double.

City @ 9/5, Chelsea @ 4/6.

Stand to win 233 quid.

Last weekend was the first weekend the bet has come in.

I'm down over 300 quid so far.

Don't worry guys, I'm happy to take the hit.
 :)

Ive never admitted this as I though I would get slated. I often bet against Liverpool in big games.

Its a bit like Insurance. I don't want my house to get blown away by a hurricance, but I still have home insurance.

Ive got 3000 on betfair that we don't win the title.

C'mon Liverpool, make me poor.

Since the turn of the year ,every game I have watched has been with a very relaxed frame of mind . Not a single doubt has crossed my mind that we would falter or lose , not one! Since Sundays full time whistle I have been getting myself more and more worked up though. This game is fucking massive , really fucking massive . My Scouse mate has been staying here with us since last Autumn and he is a pessimistic git , but I have loved every single minute of this season. My American wife commented that she had not seen 'that kind of look on your face since 2005 in London when we were at your mums watching the Champions league final' . I was like a fucking madman that night ,going absolutely mental watching the game . She said I have had that look again since last weekend. Good stuff . I remember the good old days and have waited a long time for them to return . We have a manager and a team that are making me fall in love with the game all over again and for that I am so very grateful . Come on Redmen , you can do it starting with that lot Sunday . 5 more times !

I am a bit uncomfortable connecting the two (our challenge and the 25th anniversary) but it is inevitable that people will. I think Hansen does a good job of balancing what is really important.

This is it. Its been 24 years since we've won the title and would be our first "Premier League" trophy. People are nervous as shit that this could finally be us starting our reign where we fucking deserve to be.

Im nervous because I know that if we win this game no one will fucking stop us. Our momentum and confidence from winning this game would be unstoppable imo.

We all want both, but it would be fitting to honour their memory this season with winning the league. The two will always be connected in the sense that any success we ever have will be a dedication to the people who died.

If we are to win it this season, it will be an extremely emotional occasion, the likes of which English football hasn't seen for a long time, if ever.

This clubs means so much to so many.

As I read this, I'm recalling what a friend of mine once asked an attractive young lady as we were waiting for a momentous and long-anticipated event to take place: "Are you as sex-cited about this as I am?" he asked, to which she simply replied: "Are you kidding? I'm dripping down both legs!"

Bring it on! :lickin

I think we have the advantage, our home form and overall form have been quite good and they have struggled on the road somewhat.  City have the ability to beat us at Anfield but not the mentality.  We gave them everything they could handle last time we played, and that was during a stretch that they were playing the best football in the league at home.

I think we are favorites in this game and we will play like it.  City have in the past struggled when the pressure is on, and I think they will do so again on Sunday.  My prediction: 3-2 good guys, with things tied up late Suarez cements his legendary status with the winner.

Our home form and overall form have been quite good? Quite Good? QUITE GOOD??!!

Home Form: P16 W14 D1 L1

Last 12 Form Overall: P12 W10 D2 L0

That's quite good is it?
Balotelli, Falcao, Cavani...

I'll be shocked if it's anyone other Etoo. Etoo or no-one. Simples.

In fact, I'll do you all a favor and ban myself from the January transfer window forum if we get anyone other than Etoo.
