Have you ever that noticed voodoo ray always looks like he's gone a week or two longer than he should without getting his hair cut?

Did you see him before the start of the 1st ODI? Looked like he'd been on a lost weekend with Gazza and Raoul Moat.

once the spinners went off I felt pretty confident these 2 would get us home.

And that is that.

Great partnership from Root and Woakes.

England 93-1 after 20 overs. Root and Hales very much set now. I don't think there is much in this pitch, England should look to put their foot down in the middle overs and 300 should be a minimum target here.

Thank god Hales is back. One of our very best players in this format.

I feel for Billings a little bit. He's the next man in should there be an injury or loss of form but this current XI is the one that has improved massively since the world cup and it makes sense to stick with it. Hales is really good in ODI's.

Billings is good but Hales is world class in ODIs. Billings is not a bad player to have in reserve at all. Batting has some real depth, we just need to find some good bowlers and we'll be alright  ;D

Broad is saying he isn't done with the shorter formats. He could be an option for the summer and nobody would complain. The problem with England due to their bowling is that 350 never quite seems enough, never mind 300.

Hales recent innings have been pretty crap, barring the lunacy of his massive score last summer. I seem to remember him being a bit lucky in that knock, but he still made them.

Good to see him getting a score here.

Bairstow waiting for a chance too. Loads of batting depth at the moment.

Seems quite a true pitch and a better one to bat on than Antigua. 320+ wanted here?

The old double your score after 30 overs rule would see England wanting 360ish

Hopefully Hales will get his 100 then go mental.

I think we will have a little wobble and end around 350. Which should be plenty against this Windies side.

Hales gone. Made 110

228/2 off 36.4

Butler bumped up the order and hit a six off his first legal ball.

Hundred for Root but a little wobble with he and Ali going in the same over. 264/6, 7 overs left as long as we bat through.

Really infuriate me England, with the amount of times they throw wickets away after reaching a century.
AHA!

328 ALL OUT from 50 overs.

Decent. Could have been better. Credit to Root and Hales.

Should be plenty.

Definitely although this series was a bit of a folly. Not sure we learned an awful lot from it.
